Someone said, "NO dog is worth that kind of money" well, even Bill Gates would not have the money to buy my Zuni from me... Now, we may know better, but the rich and famous simply don't so who cares if they want to drop that kind of cash and KNOW they have a fully guaranteed reliable dog? Look, Pim Fortuyn, the man who was going to become the next Dutch Prime Minister a few years back, was being stalked and threatened openly, which he did nothing about. He SHOULD have bought a KNPV ph2 trained dog for about 10,000 euros or a french ring dog which are trained to walk backwards in protection phase, as THAT dog would have saved his life. He was shot (dead) point blank by some nutcase on the parking lot of a radio station in Holland. The town i was born and raised in :( This dog would have seen the attack coming and with or without one command the guy would have been taken out. They are trained to be fast and relentless. And, no doubt, in the end, Holland would have had a better Prime Minister. My point again? oh, dogs, for the money, are a much better more powerful alarm system/body guard, because you can take them 24/7 with you, and they don't need electric to be on. Just your love and a full belly ;)

Well said Blitzen.

I don't think Brittany S bought her dogs from this guy...there is a similar broker in Columbus who sold some celebraties high priced dogs, as well as importing a BSP Sieger for a buyer. And another former officer of USA who might be the Brittany S provider...one of them sold to Jim Belushi too I think. And it looks like this guy provides alot of one on one support for the buyer - NOT that I think his prices are reasonable!!! But for the personal one on one service he says he provides, there is probably a niche market and he is making a living with a half dozen dogs a year easily - But he is NOT alone out there! Don't we all wish we could make a living and never do anythign but work dogs?

WELL SAID BLITZEN !! Took the words from my mouth ! It's the big bucks that people are willing to pay for 8-12 week olds that really gets me -- But then, people are still paying $1,000 for a Pug from a Pet Shop - so same thing, I guess. We had people who passed on a pup. I didn't care - I had a waiting list -- but I said out of curiosity - Was there something about the pups that you did not like ? Oh, No, said the buyers they are the nicest pups we've seen, and we've been to 4 breeders already -- we were just worried because these are so much nicer and priced lower!! We're worried something is wrong with them !!! So I said, well, you could pay me more -- if it would make you feel better -- but I'm more concerned about the home that the amount on the check. ! Some people NEED to pay more but $25,000 -- gimmie a break !!

Saoa I said it,and respect you for feeling that way about your dog, that however is a emotion based comment.I also feel the same of my dogs.If I feel the need to be that worried about my well being,I am licensed to carry a firearm, that I can truely take with me just about anywhere. If I was a bad guy and was hell bent on getting into your place trust me,no dog is going to do you any good no matter how much you might have paid for him.All My orignal post was trying to say is if your going to buy something, know what your buying and don't over pay for something you don't have too.

Sorry but guns don't kill people, people kill people. No gun left on its own kills somebody its the person that pulls the trigger that kills the person. Charlie I agree with you to a point. The reason my dog is trained in home/personal protection is he is a first line of defense. I also own guns but I can call my dog off I can't stop a bullet. So if somebody tries and gets into my house if my dog doesn't stop them I will. Plus the number one thing all buglars/theifs said was that they will pass over a house that has a dog before they will pass over a house with a burglar alarm.

Brian, It is very simple the point I am trying to make.It makes no difference how much money you pay for a dog,it is a false sense of security, most SchH dogs will not bite a man, this is a known fact. The person spending several times what you and I did for are dogs are no better protected then we are.The thing about the gun was just to make a point,This high priced is selling SchH titled plain and simple...and idiots are paying the price.Again, someone hell bent on getting into your home to harm or take what is not theres and are expecting one of the $40,000 level 3 dogs save the day are fools.Like Pine said,if they want to pay me more money........

An alarm lets you know someone is in your house,a good dog will keep him from getting in.....

Charlie I agree with you about people paying that much money to feel more protected are insane. I paid $350.00 for the dog I have now that is trained in home/personal protection and I would dare anybody to come into my house or try to assault me on the street LOL. I also agree with you that most ScH trained dogs aren't going to go after a guy unless he has a sleeve on. That is why I am getting into the PSA training and trailing. You can have a PPD and also get a title on him for the fun of it. By the way the first part of my last post wasn't directed at you but at hodie because she stated that guns kill people. By the way Charlie my new pup is being sent out Jan. 10th. You can see updated pics of the pups on Jacques site.
