Hey, I drive a pickup truck and have guns - AND an Obama sticker on my gun-totin', mud-covered American-made full-size pickup.

by Blitzen on 19 October 2008 - 13:10

Tess, but do you have a gun rack in that monster truck,  is there a decal of the Confederate flag on the rear window and do you live in PA? If you can't answer yes" to all these questions,  then I'm sorry to say, you are not a REAL PA redneck . How's about one of those hitch covers that looks like a very large set of testicles.  Got one? They are very popular in this neck of the woods. I really have to laugh when I see this decor on a pick up made in Asia . And I'll bet that makes you smile too!!

Sueincc, stand by for even more brilliant utterances when she is questioned on who built and paid for her house. Ethics are optional in her world.

Can't wait to hear all the negative comments about Powell now that he has endorsed Obama and gave McCain a scathing dressing down for the negative and dangerous way he has conducted his campaign.

Blitzen,

How can you say that Obama is not anti-gun?  That is just about the most absurd comment I have heard said about any candidate.

  Check out:

Blitzen,

Perhaps you did not read that web-site carefully?  It clearly demonstrates that Obama has a long history of voting for anti-gun measures, although it attempts to place those votes in a positive light.

Make no mistake, Obama is an anti-gun activist and will do his best to repeal or severly limit American's 2nd amendment rights.  He has said so, in his votes and in his words.

Blitzen: So funny:  Yes to the gun-rack and yes to living in PA!  No to the Confederate flag decal.  In PA we all know what the stars n bars really stand for.  Besides, Robert E. Lee himself spoke against continuing to fly that flag, and that's good enough for me.

Have to laugh:  our receptionist at work (her husband is an executive with Hershey Foods) told me, after Obama's "cling to their guns & religion" comment:  he's right; we do.  Can't argue with that.

They're both voting for Obama. Him all along, and she's a switch from McCain.  The Palin nomination was the clincher for her.  Palin vs. Biden?  NO CONTEST.  The dreadful McCain ads and the debates sealed the deal.  And her husband is one of those guys who is an avid hunter, complete with gun racks and deer camp.  He's actively working for Obama.

Alas, although I do have a hitch on my American-made truck - I do NOT possess the big-balls hitch cover.  I'll have to keep my eyes out for them.  The deer-head or duck-head ones are pretty normal around here.  I think people see the size of my truck and just assume I have the cojones to go with it.  (LOL!)

I do have a pro-hunting decal though.

Sammie, Obama totally gets the difference between law-abiding American citizens with their guns, and cop-killing assault rifles..  There are a lot of American police officers who want to see restrictions on cop-killer bullets and guns.  Obama will support them.  McCain opposes ANY restrictions of any kind.

I'll vote with the cops and with Obama.

by Blitzen on 19 October 2008 - 15:10

And which votes would they be, Sammie? "...........although it attempts to place these votes in a positive light"  I assume "it" is Factcheck and you saying that website is slanted toward Obama? I don't think so, you just haven't read there what you wanted to read so have now decided that they are wrong about all of it.  The difference between Factcheck and the NRA is that Factcheck bases it's editorials on one thing, the facts as they know them at the time of the writing, while the NRA  uses hyperbole, half truths and scare tactics to frighten  their members into thinking that Obama will take away their guns. Divide and conquer. NRA is clearly for McCain while Factcheck is a neutral effort to report only the facts. Do you honestly think that Powell would endorse a candidate who is anti-gun? Think about it.

BTW, why don't you ask the NRA if they are so bloody concerned about the welfare of this country why all their merchandise is made in Asia?  Why don't they contract with American companies to make their stuff?

Tess, I am close to Hanover where hate groups hold annual rallies and  some residents fly the Confederate flag on their homes and garages.  Not too long ago some of these geniuses burned a cross on the front porch of a black family.

Some of the local auto stores sell those transparent Confederate flag stickers that fit the entire rear window of a pick up truck;  they really look nice with those flag belt buckles and the mullets finish off the statement nicely .  In fact the KKK just cancelled a rally scheduled for November at the Gettysburg Battlefield. Can you imagine holding a KKK rally there? Now to be fair, those KKK organizers were from MD. Evidentally PA makes it easier to hold a KKK rally that does Maryland.

If you're interested, I might be able to find you one of those hanging testicle hitch covers fer yer pick up. When I first saw them I thought - what a dork, that guy has 2 tennis balls in a mesh bag hanging from his trailer hitch . Duh................
