We'll not attack him like the libs did against Joe the Plumber.....He is entittled to his opinion, just as you are, just as I am.

General Powell has a history of supoorting his country with the people he has associated with.....Your canidate can not say the same thing.

"Stressing that Obama was a lifelong Christian, Powell denounced Republican tactics that he said were insulting not only to to Obama but also to Muslims.

“The really right answer is what if he is?” Powell said, praising the contributions of millions of Muslim citizens to American society."

I agree with General Colin Powell, but I would take this a step further.  Not only are the Republican tactics insulting to Obama and Muslims,  by trotting out the same old lies and fear tactics they  are insulting  the intelligence of most Americans in general.  Many fell for it during Bushes campaigns,  but no more, never again.  Intimating there is some scarey, dark connection between Obama and Acorn is just a crap sandwich and more Carl Rove  politics.  You guys tried as hard as you could to dig up dirt and when you couldn't find any,  what do you do?  Why you make it up, which pretty much  shows how desperate McCain/Palin supporters really are, and is bullshit politics as usual.  Win at all costs, right?

You did not just bring up Joe the Plumber did you?  Are you sure you aren't a secret Obama supporter because "Joe" sure backfired on McCain!

 Sorry Sammie,

Intelligent restrictions and regulations on guns, drivers licenses, and I wish who could have children are needed in a society that is as irresponsible and out of control as ours has grown to be. This does not mean Obama, or I for that matter, wish to see gun ownership, responsible gun ownership, illegal. You should get the facts and further, why not discuss real issues....like the economy, education, the need for better access to health care for all citizens, illegal immigration, energy needs and dependency - to name just a few......

I have noted that those of you who bring up BS cannot discuss the real issues. Why is that?

Yes Sue I did,

Joe didn't like the idea that Obama's tax plan might raise his taxes, if he bought the plumbing company on which he had his eye on. ........Why did they dig into his personal life because he asked a question........and why does Joe's past become so important, but not "The One"?... If you think that is fair game,.........I guess we all need to be careful what we say in public............Will that  include you?

Also, if Hussein has all the answers as he says he has why hasn't he introduced in Congress his:

Health care bill?                        His  elem-h.s. education bill ?              His college education  bill?

His tax bill?                                His jobs bill?                          His trade bill?

His global warming bill?         His energy effeciency bill ?         His energy bill?

His housing bill?                       His economic recovery bill?      Etc.

If he has all the answers to our problems, didn't he owe it to us great unwashed to have all our problems solved before this election rather than having to wait until the "annointed one" actually would take over the presidency and give us his wisdom then?     Why let us suffer rather than gaining edification now and having him solve our problems now. If fact, with his great wisdom, why didn't he introduce ANY bills in Congress to head any of this off?

by hodie on 19 October 2008 - 18:10

Alaman,

What do you know about the legislative process? Or any part of the governmental process? And what, if any bills had W helped introduce anywhere before he was elected to the Presidency that would have done anything except benefit his oil company buddies? Or, choose anyone else of your choice.......

As you well know, no single person will turn around the troubles we face. It will take ALL of us, but, I predict, after the election, you and others will continue to do not a single thing to make anything in this country better......while at the same time yelling "me, me, me."

Your continual idiotic insult is just that...and brings no credibility to your choice. If you prefer McCain, that is one thing. Then discuss it rationally and with real issues at the fore.

Aw yes, Joe the Plumber. Now there's a real credible guy. He is in arrears for back taxes, has no plumbing license and no intention of buying any business.  It was McCain's staff who put Joe in the spotlight, not Obama's. Since Cindy McCain reported an income of over 5 M in 2007, maybe she and John would like to stake Joe and become silent partners in his plumbing business.  Or maybe they could sell one of their 7 homes/condos and jump start Joe's business to show us that the McCain's might be filthy rich, but they are still in touch with the common man and want to help one of them realize the American dream. For once they could walk the walk instead of talking the talk.  If he's a ringer as some think he is, McCain's staff sure didn't do their homework on "that one" prior to making him the centerpiece of last week's campaign strategy. I doubt we'll be hearing much more about him in the next 2 weeks. McCain's staff will be too busy trying to discredit Powell, neutralize his negative remarks about the tone and complete failure of their campaign strategy, and putting out all the fires they have started with their racist rallies that seem more like the gathering of the Klan than an effort to promote McCain as being the right man for the job. Powell made a number of very pointed statements today, IMO the most important of which was his question - so what if Obama were a Muslim? I wonder how McCain will feel is there is an attempt made on Obama's life by some home-grown moron who is fired up from listening to his and Palin's sick innuendos about Obama. My guess is he won't be very proud of himself.

I haven't seen any responses to my questions - do you really think Powell would endorse a candidate who opposed gun ownership and why doesn't the NRA hire US companies to manufacture the products they sell under their name? Wow,now that I think about it,  that almost smacks of being unpatriotic. I know let's ask the NRA's poster boy Ted, you-can't-grill-em-til-you-kill-em, Nugent just after he gets home from his latest trip to Africa to kill him some of dem blood thirsty zebras.

McCain made 3 very huge errors, Palin and the very worst mistake of all, not firing the people who are running his campaign and being true to himself and his own values.

Blitzen,

"I doubt we'll be hearing much more about him in the next 2 weeks"

Joe personally is all you will hear about.......Not the question raised regarding wealth re-distribution......we'll just keep that as OB's dirty little secret..............lol!!!
