"If it is man caused then I can work with that"

???Huh??   you can't work with heart.  The dog either has it or doesn't.  I haven't seen the video but if it came off on the stick hits,  then that is all I need to know to keep from breeding to that dog.  However, opinions aside, good luck with your program.

Thank to everyones input. I was looking at bloodlines. I do that alot. I like what the Ingodd.com are producing with Ingodds Nodessa. I am looking at what she is producing. She is Ingodds Albert & Agassi's mother. I believe in the female producers. From the first moment of life the pups are around the DAM, she imprints the stank out of them. If the DAM is skiddish, unsure, weak .... I expect majority of that to be passed on to the pups due to immediate external stimuli. This is a crucial time in the pups life. I what a smart breeding program not one of just looks. Looks don't hurt...I am a fan of the black mask LOL. I like what the Munsingers, Messina, and the Butjenter Land are doing.  I see a lot of other good kennels out there even some that do not have websites. I guess what I am saying is I am pickey and open to more than the bloodlines that you see everyday.

Basically, I like producers not the name. I am into some of the Alternative bloodlines. I hear everyone talking about Teejay and Leido...They are beautiful GSDs and their bitework was impressive this year at the NASS but I am into some of the other rising stars in different kennels. I may not know everything but I believe that a solid foundation will help you create a special pup and maybe a special breeding program. From there I want to build an all year round training facility with room treadmills, water training for GSDs and much more. I guess that I am dreaming again but that is me. I am a dreamer and a doer. (I hope I did not bore anyone hahahah) Thanks for the input. I really appreciate everyones opinion.

VA Albert is a very attractive dog that is all male.  His puppies are georgeous.  He is very calm, easy going and seems to see no real threat from the helper(agitator) in the bitework.  He can and will do it when asked to but seems to see no reason for it.  He is definitely not a sleeve eater.  From what I have heard, he is a most potent home protector when there is a real reason to defend his turf, as are most of his progeny.  The temperament of his puppies seems to be very good and most make excellent 24/7 household pets and family guardians.  I don't think any other top stud dog produces better looking young male puppies.  They are like little black and red teddy bears. Certainly their pigment and proportions are very nice and VA Albert's progeny group at the 2008 NASS was large and attractive.  For those purists who watch ratings and statistics, it is notable that VA Albert was rated with a noch "a stamp" in Germany, and when "re-xrayed" in the USA, was given an "OFA Excellent" for hips. I would use the dog except for this.  It may not be an issue for some, but I just can't get beyond it.  As with any litter it is always a good practice to give the puppies glucosamine/chondroitin in their food each day as soon as they start eating solid food and continue it each day for their first two years, keeping them trim and not too much exercise or any jumping the first 1.5 years.

Preston, are you serious about this dog in the bite work. You have to be kidding about this dog being strong in the bite work. Ingodds Alberts in the bite work i seen on youtube from the seiger show was a complete TURD. The only Pronouced rating that dog should receive is when he dies they should Pronounce him dead.

If you think that dog is strong then you are part of the problem.

noch zugelassen hips ? but OFA Excellent ?

If you are interested in his bitework, just watch the videos people have posted.  Look at the results from WDA Sieger Show in St Louis 2007:

VonKohlenBerg, I never said he was strong in the bitework, quite the contrary.  Re-read my post carefully, very carefully.  He acts half-hearted about it, like there is no real need to bite the sleeve, no threat.  Compare this to some dogs where if you make any threatening gesture or agitating move they wanty to eat the sleeve with a full bite or become ready for an instant fight.  This softness in bitework does not mean that a dog cannot produce adequate temperament for a 24/7 in home family pet that will protect his family.  Many sleeve eaters are not appropriate for family dogs.  V Eagle of Eichenluft is a sleeve eater that just happens to be calm and safe around children and strangers.  I have had some dogs in years past that are just too quick to go off, just too domineering.  It is too much liability for many folks who just want a good looking, well balanced stable family pet that will protect them.

Gefaehrlichnoch zugelassen hips ? but OFA Excellent ?

You betcha. Albert shows up on Yvonne Hecht's WinSIS database as NZ.

How often do you take your dog in for OFA radiographs where the vet actually checks the tattoo of your dog??

Albert is a good worker..not the best but GOOD!!! If you breed to the right female you will be fine. Remember...it takes two.

I had a phenomenal littter out of Albert and would do it again in a heartbeat. And we have prelimed our female and she is good to excellent as of 9 months old.

Kudos to Julie for bringing in this male into the states and taking the time to work with him, take him to VA, and re do his hip xrays. Any of you who have only watched a video of Albert need to go see him work....or even see some of his progeny work. I haven't seen any that DON'T work!!!! I guess that's what is most important.

Good luck diangelo. The only thing I can warn you of is the size of the pups. I had 2 pounders at birth!!! And NONE are oversized at age 1....
