Neumann's Jim yes some of the Kuhn brothers dogs yes. Not aware of David in please post the direct with David in it. Royal is a mixture of American,West German and some East German lines. They also mixed German shepherds with
Shiloh's. You just can not pinpoint where this large size come from. Their sales pitch is 30" plus dogs. I have seen some so called saber tooth dogs are they were just a exaggeration of the owners. While there are some truly oversize dogs they are not the norm. I want people to know the truth not some handed down Tail's

The Shilohs in the Royalair lines are the OLD Shilohs, back when they were still AKC registered GSD's.

One of the Royalair dogs is pure German lines. He's the one with Don in his lineage, by way of Baldo:

Yes Baldo is an East line but they mixed it with a West German line then the following breeding were with American and in time the Shiloh which archived their hight from a mixture of dogs not just the east dogs. I still do not see where David fits in.

Looks to me he fit in very nicely.

He doesn't, but Don is David's father, and HE is in the Royalair lineage. (Sorry, my mistake in my post above. I got Don/David confused!)

Don V Rolandsteich > Jim V D Stadt Schmalkalden > Baldo V Wolkenstein > Royalair's Falco Von Dolberg

The Royalair dogs certainly are a mixed bag! They've got a bit of everything in there: West German, East German, Dutch, American, long hair shepherds, even a couple of white shepherds!

Certainly not dogs for the breed purists!

You have to  be joking it just does not work that way. This is what is wrong with people giving in correct information.

Thanks Sunsiler,

They are beautiful dogs.  Thanks for sharing that.

In 2006, I lost Shadow. He passed away at 13.

I started searching the internet for David Nebelholz and eventually for Don Rolandsteich.

I found lots of people who were also searching for David Nebelholz descendents.  I do believe that because Don Simon (who imported David) of  Rainbow Shepherds and Schulenhaus (who bred to him) were selling to the pet market that there was really nothing to find.

The one thing that did keep coming up were Shiloh Shepherd pedigrees. and Tina Barbera's website. Of course, I also turned up Royal Air's website and spoke with her

This is Shadow on the left at the age of 5 The long white things are his teeth.  It was his veterinarian who started calling him saber tooth.  Especially in younger years, people asked me why his canines were so huge.  They extended past his lips when his mouth was closed.

DDR SDG,

You are such a character.  I really do enjoy your posts immensely.  Sometimes I even learn things from you.

Everytime I post some of these old pictures, my inbox gets filled with PM's from people who wanted to post but did not want to be attacked. So, I get PM's thanking me for posting these pictures. One said that these were the most beautiful shepherds they had ever seen.

I don't worry so much about a poster with a bad temperament.  This is a bulletin board.  Sticks and stones will break my bones but names, especially on a bulletin board ....... POOF

If I were making a living from selling German Shepherd puppies, I would have more concern about financial harm.  That is probably why I get so many PM's.

In conclusion, I find you quite entertaining, ever humorous at times.  Sadly, others are intimidated by what they see as bullying and attack.  The sad part about that is the dampening effect on some lively discussions and the impedance on the free flow of ideas.

Carry on.
