Here's the idea, why not ask Oli to make a sticky out of the refined thread? Any normal forum has a Q&A/Useful Info compilation written by members, aside from main discussions and easily accessible by all.

Hodie, This is a bit scary, as I intended from the outset to distill the points and make the finished product a separate thread, to be bumped periodically. It would be nice if it could be made a sticky, to prevent hijacking by personal dramas, anti-Semetic rhetoric, etc. , as so often happens. Ditto with the breeder thread, as it could potentially save a well-intentioned first-time (or more) breeder some stress. :-)

One thing in reference to making informed descisions is getting involved.  The internet is a wonderful tool but you cannot build a house with only one tool.  Get involved interact with people and clubs and you will start to get a better picture of whose reputable and who is not.  Often you will get a whole different perspective when dealing with people one on one.  also there are many people who may not wish to bash somebody but  say something a little more subtle like, ' have ever considered breeder B he/she has nice dogs."  This can be a person trying to give a hint as to what they would do without coming right out and saying breeder A sucks....Ther are many who have been involved with our breed for a long time try to learn from them and you will learn more in 20 minutes than spending hours here....

Moons, I don't smoke, and neither should you. It makes your teeth yellow, clothes smello, and butchers your lungs.

Or are you trying to quit, which would explain the foul mood, and rude gestures?

I aplogize for clogging this thread, just tired of Moons always trying to bum a smoke.....

the new Mod may delete it.

I was amazed at how many high level competitors have that person or persons that they bounce ideas off of.    I really think by just knowing what people have and networking a bit ....often the right dog will fall into you.  .  .Have had it happen to me and some freinds as well.. Knowledge is power

Oh my god you guys are so tiresome.  You know what?  Rather than continuing to bring down the PDB and waste all of our time with your pissing and moaning about each other, do the courteous thing and just add a link or bump up one of the hundreds of threads you either started about each other or even one of the perfectly good threads you ruined with your nasty little melodrama.   Here's just  a few of the threads you can always link people to and if anyone cares they can read it for themselves.:

Got another one for the list:

Stay FAR AWAY from any breeder who is not only willing to sell you, but actually ENCOURAGES you to buy 2 puppies at once. 2 GSD pups at once is BAD NEWS for anyone who doesn't  really, and I mean really, know what they are doing. Never as pets, first time workings dogs, or to generally inexperienced people. They are willing to sell you 2 pups, all they see is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!
