Ah speculation also existed in Bruce Lee's death ! Many say it resulted from excessive revelations of martial arts secrets to the public.Could David have been the victim of the underworlds desire to keep it's secrets secret. Long has the world of martial arts kept it's seeder side secret from the public . Some times movies portray real life events which are desired to be kept secret! Even stranger and could tie this to a common thread! For your consideration; remember bruce lees son? Wasn't he strangely ;accidentally killed ? What were the circumstances behind his accidental death? And such a nice and sucessful movie (kill bill) A movie about kung fu assins and their teachers and victims? So much violent death with kicks and swords and whitty sayings grasshopper. All those young men in blachk suits killed by one uma and those lovely princesses of death. If such a world does exist perhaps david paid the price for it's unveiling .Many say that was the price bruce paid for his exposes? Food for thought

David Carradine was not only an actor, he was a supporter of many charities.  He was indeed, a good man.

actually i do know a little bit about him: i grew up watching him on tv, have read & watched a number of interviews with him over the years and have read what his close friends and family have to say about him. in conclusion i think the wisest thing for me is to believe what little i do know over what you speculate.

i also believe a person is "innocent until proven guilty" so until i'm given proof that he harmed others i see no reason to buy into wild speculation based solely on judgments some have regarding his private life.  if you need him to be a bad guy because you don't like the choices he made that is your right but it changes nothing for those who have had a true glimpse into his life and have no issues with what they have seen.  - to each their own - i for one will celebrate his life, be glad we shared a bit a time & space together, and be sadden by the loss of his life and his future.

enjoy your life while you still have it, love as much as you can, and try not to be so angry at others for not measuring up to your ideals.

best wishes,
susan

Too many on this board who profess a Christian belief system forget that simple phrase spoken by their Saviour,
"He who is with out sin, throw the first stone." That pretty much sums it up for me. until the guy is proven to have harmed someone besides himself, he remains a good & decent human being. We all have our little issues, I thank God mine aren't trotted out in public. And it's real easy to pick on a dead guy, who can't defend himself.

And Steve1, too much information! LOL! My hubby's almost 79, & very active,  but I'm not sharing any details! LOL!

I just want to clear up one thing about Christianity.  Jesus came for the SINNERS, and those that accept him, admit they are sinners and have sinned.   Those that think they are without sin don't need him.  I hope I have that cleared up the misconception that Christians are perfect, on the contraire.

O.K, back to David, there is nothing wrong with calling hanging sex games in a closet strange - it is.  I don't see anyone judging the man.  Giving to charities does not mean that he is a GOOD man btw.   I'm sure murderers have done good deeds too, the same with pedophiles.

That being said, I agree with Raymond in that there is more going on here.  His family thinks there was foul play involved, in that case, it is indeed a tragedy.

Guess there is more than one way to come out of the closet, intentional and... "otherwise." Sad he didn't outlive his fantasies and they all became public. Kind of reminds me of my grandmother telling me why I needed to wear clean uderwear every day in case I got hit by a car. Never know whose going to see your private life on the slab later.

Bad taste or black humor? Take your pick. My sick sense of humor can think of some pretty tasteless word for tombstones.
Mine should say "Here lies Shelley Roecker Strohl. Aged [??] years. She had a lot of potential... "

Rest in peace, Grasshopper.

The Premarin is doing a pretty good job on the hot flashes, but my sense of humor remains bent.
Mom was never funny till she got old. Sister is on the very same track. Its like somebody lets us of our cages in our 50's, no way to catch us even with a big butterfly net. I am glad some of you papreciate my sense of humor. A LOT of people do NOT.
You can always tell they didn't get it when they glance at their shoes, then each other, sideways, with "that look"... but that doesn't slow me down. Ha ha ha. Let the ingrates SUFFER.

You know what?  It's very simple, as far as I'm concerned a good person is one who lives their lives for the most part trying to do right by this earth and their fellow man.  To me, this is enough for me to think he was a good man.
