All pups are wanted if you put your mind to it.
If they do not sell rather way at 8 weeks; keep them, train them, sell them later. If you are not prepared to do this, do not breed .

I do not however believe in shelters, thats not what I consider responsibility.
I did not start this because I was having doubts, I was just looking at a discussion of the topic.

This is one reason why I would not be able to breed because I can't guarantee that every single pup would be placed. I would def. not give one for free even for a family member (if they are not ready to pay up they are not ready to swallow additional costs that will come after I place the dog). I will PTS if I can't keep it, but than if I can't keep it I don't breed, so it is never ending circle ;). Moons you need to wait it out, work the dog in mean time after the summer you might find someone would love to have already house broken pup ;). Good luck.

They are already being socialized and get the best of care.

If someone wrote/called me and told me that if I end up with a deaf/blind/white spotted pup, they wanted to adopt it. I would let them. The pup would be altered before leaving my home though. And I honestly don't think I would hold on to it otherwise.
