Does anyone have experience with either of these products? If so ,what are your opinions, Pro and Con? Thanks in advance for your input. Cheers!

Canidae is a very good food but I could never keep firm stools on GSDs. Their coats looked great and weight was appropriate. I have not fed Eagle Pack, but now feed Royal Canin GSD 24 which I find to be an excellent food.

I really like the results from the canidae. I have 7 GSD's and one Cane Corso on the food. Their coats are shine which looks great impressive on their black coats. Their engery level is high and weight control is not an issue. The only time there are stool issues is when one of the females comes into season. I like the Canidae also because I have several places to get it from in New Jersey. We have been feeding Canidae for almost 2 years now. Kyle

NOT HAPPY WITH CANIDAE.eAGLE PACK IS A VERY GOOD FOOD. I FEED IT NOW. THEY ALSO HAVE AN HOLISTIC FOOD THAT IS FANTASTIC.i THINK THERE'S 3 DIFFERENT HOLSTIC FOODS .THE ONE WITH FISH IS THE BEST FOR GSD. IT HAS ANCHOVIE,SARDINES,SALMON,VEG, FLAXSEED OIL,OATMEAL ECT..I MIX IT WITH REG EAGLE.OR YOU CAN FEED IT STRAIGHT.MY DOGS LOOK UNBELIEVABLE.COATS SHINE LIKE THERE WET,WEIGHT IS PERFACT,I THINK IT'S THE BEST FOOD I'VE BEEN ON. AND THERE'S BEEN ALOT.TRY IT FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS THEN LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. I MYSELF STARTED IT 2 MONTHS AGO , THE DIFFERENTS IS LIKE NIGHT AND DAY.

Thank You all for your input! I am currently using Canidae and am pleased for the most part, but recently was told about Eagle Pack. The person recommending it however, does not have alot of experience with GSD's or the food in general, but for a few months. Thanks again, I'll give it a try!! Cheers!

have not used Canidae but am using eagle pack and loving it was feeding Royal Canin but it was too yeasty grainy for my dog she didnt like to eat it it just did not work for her otherwise i think it is an ok feed. So I switched to eagle pack and recently began using the Holistic Select which is centered on salmon and other fish for highly digestable protein and omgea 3 without containing any whitefish in the ingredients. contains oatmealis non GMO alfalfa for beta-carotene also has carrots gotta have the carrots! and it is cooked at half temp which does not kill the benefits of the ingredients as it also has l acidophilus and kelp, beet pulp and of course enhanced vitamins but at least it contains NO added artificial coloring flavors or Perservatives. stools are nice firm but not constipated like stool reducing iams not large so dog is using the nutrients little natural waste. I do feed some raw meat and other assorted items not just kibble but the kibble i do feed i want to be the best not a filler. I have been very pleased with the product.

I have fed Eagle for years, so have several good friends. I love it. Try the Original Adult Formula first, if that is too rich, the Natural Formula. I have never tried the Holistic line, but a friend just recently tried it with a dog that was very sick and had a huge success with it. Pups do really well on it. They mature slower, grow up lean but very well muscled up, have very tight joints, do not have that wobbly puppy gait, they look like mini adults very quickly. Very few incidents of Pano. So far no fallouts in terms of hips and elbows. Puppy feeding schedule: Eagle Puppy (yellow bag) up to 8-12 weeks of age, then the Original Adult after that. Dams bounce back quicker after birthing and have excellent milk production. Pregnant bitch feeding schedule: Original Adult before heat, Eagle Puppy (yellow bag) at beginning of third Trimester and fed until after weaning, back to Original when pups are 6-8 weeks. Active dogs - Original Adult. Older and less active dogs - Natural Formula. The Powerpack is too much IMO. I have never tried their senior, or light formulas. Cutting the amount of food accomplishes the same as feeding that IMO. FYI, Eagle has its own rendering plant - they control what goes in it! They were one of the first premium dog food companies to preserve naturally, they were one of the fist dog food companies to add supplements. They sponsor Iditarod teams that finish in the top. Dogs always look and feel good, stay healthy. They have breeder programs, ask your store about it if you have several dogs. I get 15% or 20% + a free bag after every 10. They sometimes have promo bags for breeders that are larger than the regular size ones. Ie 20KG bags instead of 15KG, but for the same price. Always ask for specials. They also have cupons on their website.

I was debating changing to Eagle Pack-Power and the Holistic Fish. I have been feeding Eukanuba High Preform and part raw/cooked chciken. I also was considering the EVO-high pro food. I know we have heard positive things about Eagle Pack and I am also convinced but what does anyone know about EVO and GSD's? It has a 40% protein and no fillers. Foods can be very deceiving and I am not convinced any of them are complete for all breeds. I have shiny coats but I only seem to get that with Eukanuba by adding cooked chicken and Samlon Oil-the food alone makes their coat nice but not great. Any suggestions?

Is Eagle pack easy to maintain and add weight on?? I have one female that is extremely hard to keep weight on, and I need to find something that is better for her, she loves eaw food, but even giving her extra of that doesn't help her weight issues, the only time she looks great is when she is pregnant.
