Bob,

You state "I support what USA should stand for not what is convient or current, you can join the movement to change or just type about it and act like there is no course of action"

In all due respect, the movement of change is leaving an organization that believes it can, and will control you. I too support what the USA stands for..........and I'm talking about my country!!

Again, Bob, its about going by the rules - I don't think they were made to look the other way.  If it was, USA directors sure have wasted a lot of time and club money on travel, meetings and other overhead plus complaints and headaches for themselves and members. But at least they have stood up for what they beleive in.  I would assume the next step is to enforce it or else why do it?  Again the pattern for the past 10 years has been to close up membership to an exclusionary one - so now after the horse is out of the barn, you want to work on locking the barn doors?  i.e. work for change?  It was already voted in year after year similar tactics - and now you want to work on change?

Anyway, this thread is not about "how to change USA" - it was a discussion about USA bylaw change :" Is the general sport public content being told what to do?"  I assume you are content with being told what to do because you don't have a problem with ignoring the basist of by-laws.

People on this thread, in order to demonstrate being content on being told what to do, or not,  were expressing how they could do various things, like yourself, to circumvent rules, even avoid being in compliance with them like you who  said " I just don't have a problem" with off list members in USA clubs which is contra to the bylaws and subsequent changes.   Maybe you indeed have the answer - everyone just ignore the rules.  Create anarchy or civil disobedience and then no one can enforce it.  Makes sense.  I think it would be a great thread for you to start along the topic lines of "Who is going to refuse to comply to USA rules"  Maybe the next step is to lower jumps, a frames, shorten an AD, and a myriad of other variations because you and others just don't have a problem with not going by the rules.  I think that will really help improve things because there seems to be a plentitude of people with the mind set of "as long as you don't get caught, its not breaking any rules".  That is sure not the type of person I would entrust with anything. Honestly I hope anyone with that mindset stays with USA.  Rules are for honest people, and an enforcement tool for ones with a mindset of ignoring them. I guess USA will find out just how many honest members it has.  Probably many USA members are like you, they are just going to ignore the rules.  Obviously, its been going on for some time and because its not enforced, it will continue.

Yes or we can all be like Kim:

It,s no good to try lets just all set in our seats while they fly us into the tower GOD knows you should not try to do something about it the flashing sign says "stay in your seat" so we better put down our heads and hope for a miracle.

The powers  are playing the rules not by the rules there using the letter of the rules to kill the intent of the rules.. to there advantage so it,s time to turn the tables, but that,s okay KIm you just walk into the showers to ge cleaned up oh it won,t hurt a bit just a nice shower nothing to be afraid of you know it,s for your own good cause we said so...

It,s not me my Dear who is lowering jumps and shortening AD,s as you suggest it,s the powers that be that have been doing it for years but you havent raised your head up and asked why have you because that might be a little against the grain... It,s a big boat why rock it? it,s because thats what we are supposed to do if something is aray you rock the hell out of it and get somethng done, but again that might be against the rules so heaven forbid we expect change it might upset our masters...

What are the choises here we can walk away and say well I,ll go play in some one else,s back yard, problem is i,m betting after our usefulnes is done there that house will pack up and move so were screwed... or we can except the status quo and keep eating what they feed like good little cattle... or we can fight for change and start working together to change the path it won,t be easy it wont be pretty and it will take work but it can be done... unless you like what your eating...

GreatestGSD I don't know what your problem is but you can stop with the rude name calling bullshit.   In fact I have made my choice, which is to stay with USA and DVG.   You do what's right for you, rest assured I won't call you any names for choosing one organization or the other,  nor  will I lose any sleep over your decision either,  for that matter.

My goodness someone sure is working hard  to get everyone to quit USA and join WDA.   As soon as it's suggested some people might prefer to stick it out and try to change things  they don't like about the organization from within, you try to dissuade them to the point of criticizing them for suggesting there may be a way to work this practically to their benefit.  If you don't want to do what they suggest, fine don't, that's your choice, but there is no reason for you to be upset for choices they make   You do what's right for you, others will do what's right for them, and the chips will land where they land.

It's as if you are on a mission or something.  You  even posted with  authority about what supposedly went on in the conversations  between Lyle and Danny,  please correct me if I am wrong, but it's my understanding  you did not witness the conversations, you were not  privy to what was said.  If Lyle lied about the content of the dialog between him and Danny then maybe Danny is the one who needs to address this issue, yet I have seen absolutely nothing from him regarding what actually went on, not on his blog (which he certainly hasn't been shy about expressing his opinions when he felt wronged in the past), and not on the green board.  Very strange.

Sue, you got me on that one! I don't know who I was calling a name? You must  inform me of that one! From what I can see, I said that UScA is a communist  club, so if you took that personally, I am truly sorry! It wasn't ment to be taken personally!

So sorry I should have said don't assume you know me, or anything about me.  Also you need to brush up on the definition of communism.  USA is not a communist organization.   A communist organization would be one in which all economic adavantages, personal property, and labor  is shared equally by the people.

Maybe then a dictatorship? I don't personally care what you do! There has been and still is, many Americans that have died for our freedom, and I feel very strongly about my freedom! To belong to a club that tells who you can or can not belong to, doesn't seem right to me!  Control is a illusion, they will find that out soon enough!  Now just what would you call it?

sueincc

A club with rules.  Look, belong to whatever club you choose, it makes no difference to me.  I have a hard time swallowing all this drummed up give me liberty or give me death stuff over a dog club, I don't even see any slippery slope where if I belong to USA the next thing that will happen is an overthrow of our governement or midnight book burnings.  But I respect those for whom this is the issue, I just happen not to agree with you, Okay?

If you like being told who you can or can not belong to! To each his own! I will keep my freedom thank you!
