read in an earlier post about one of the VA females in Pittsburgh being KKL2? Don't the VA dogs need to be KKL1? What will this do to the placings? How could this go unnoticed?

This year's NASS seems to have had a couple of unheard of things happening. A Kkl2 rated bitch is not a dog worthy of VA1, and is not allowed (to my knowledge) to have this VA1 placement. Also, I can hardly believe that a 2 year old male with no real progeny to speak of has gone VA1! I am thinking that politics is not only being seen in Germany. It should not be so, but it clearly is.

the VA1 female is not the one they speak of...i am sure if the VA female in question was really lowered to KKL2 then i dont think the owner(s) would go home knowing their dog did not deserve this...be too embarrassing to have it taken away imo

Sorry, didn't mean VA1 female!!! My brain was stuck on the VA1 male. My apologies!!!

<<>> we talking about NASS ah WDA... the organization that allows one handler to title 13 dogs in one SchH trial under the same judge .... if this keeps up we'll be able to get VA with an untitled dog at the NASS under WDA.

I’ve never been impressed with the WDA. But I will say, they always have the best judges money can buy.

The female is not allowed to become VA when she is Kkl 2 because of oversize. When the Kkl 2 depents on bad bitework, it`s ok.

Hi dajkzo, I love your twisted comment: " But I will say, they always have the best judges money can buy." Unfortunately, that is more than true almost everywhere.

by Blitzen on 19 October 2005 - 16:10

The bitch in question received a KKL2 at a show in the fall because of her bitework.

Benjamin, Where is this documented? Perhaps you could provide a quote from an SV document to validate this. My own opinion is that any dog which shows weak nerves and/or lack of courage should not be bred. No exceptions.
