Perhaps the saddest part of this is that it is exactly people like wlpool who cause and contribute to the problems with dog bites in the first place. It is people who are arrogant and think that it will never happen to them, for a variety of reasons. When it does happen, sometimes it is because the parent was clueless and had never thought about dogs and children, as silly as that may seem to most posting here. But in the case of people like wlpool, they are the worst sort and bear the most responsibility because they SHOULD have known better and still let it happen. Unfortunately, society, and especially those who love dogs pay for such ignorant and arrogant attitudes. This is exactly part of why we are all facing more and more regulation and breed bans.  It is common sense, and she should know better. And she has even been given advice by a LOT of people who are well experienced with dogs. But she wants to talk smack instead and convince all of us of her superior skills. LOL

Her attitude on this subject and most topics she writes on demonstrates that she is being untruthful about coming here to learn. She certainly does not come here to learn. She comes to make posts that garner attention, so she can sell puppies, and toot a horn that is bent out of shape from lack of knowledge. That is the saddest part about it.

DD is correct in that Pool will not learn anything from this thread, or any other for that matter. When anyone tries to put her straight she will cry that people are being "mean" to her, like a child. But at least we all know what she is really about. At least the defender of the ignorant got in her two cents. Now she can continue too to post her less than useful posts. Oh and MAggs, no I don't know everything at all, but  like many here, I do know more that you will ever know on these subjects and likely many others.

It was a tragedy that this child died.  But this thread has gone from being about the tragedy to drama that has nothing to do with the original topic of the thread.  It was ignorance that led to this child's death, pure and simple.

My dogs are both good with my children, but I would never let them be totally unsupervised together.  I know things can happen.  Unfortunately, gone are the days of strong temperaments and survival of the fittest...Now it's all about saving every animal, whether it should live or not.

I'm disheartened to see the way that every single thread comes down to this kind of drama...No one can just be the bigger man and step back, drop it and stop arguing...No, everyone seems to have to get the last word, the last put down, the last insult...

Beetree -- I get a big laugh when I read your posts.....you pathetic, groveling woman.  You want sooooo bad to be a part of the "the little Group" that you will say anything for acceptance.   BTW, I still have not come across any posts by you that are dog-related or add any value to a dog discussion --- because there AREN'T ANY !   You perform the role of the "groupie and hanger-on" of the "little Group."   LOL

GTR / Deluxe -- Cowards hiding behind your "sock puppet" names.  I don't give a big rat's ass what you think -- never have and never will.

Mystere -- You are a  joke through and through.   As the Board "busybody" you thrive on threads like this one....especially, when the thread turns into unrelenting  harassment of another poster.

Hodie -- You are a "legend in your own mind."   Yes, I'm sure you have helped some posters with medical advice.  However, these same people that ask the medical questions could certainly discuss it with their Vet, do a Search Message Board, or find the information in a Dog Book.

You apparently have an overwhelming need to feel wanted/needed .... sort of like the "empty nest" syndrome; however, in your case, there probably NEVER was a "Nest" at all.    You claim to be so educated and are constantly putting others down for their lack of education and knowledge or calling others morons, idiots, etc.    Well, for someone who claims to "know it all" you sure F'd up somewhere along the way in your life.   Anyone that has to come on the Board crying because they can't afford to take care of their dogs and then start advertising items for sale has apparently not "planned" well and made some wrong choices and turns along life's path.   This Board isn't CRAIG'S LIST.

As usual, Magpie, you show up to sling your juvenile venom, once those of your ilk and persuasion , have devolved a thread....and NOTHING MORE, ever. This was a discussion about a tragic, and avoidable event. Stupidity raised its head, then Maggs showed up as the condiment. SSDD DD--You are right. Time to abandon this thred to the Magpie Troll, and her recycled (again) insults. This is what happens when Heckle a nd Jeckle have a baby. LOL I am completely Done with this thread, which is now Maggie-ized. Devolution to dump.

The longer the post and the greater the number of targets, the more the troll craves attention.
