Uber Land

Here's my problem.
after reading thru Tina's many many articles on her website, it seems to me she spends ALOT of time worrying over what other breeders are doing, it seems everyone has a hidden agenda against her,  no one but her knows how to breed dogs.  How much time has been devoted to discrediting other people, their dogs ect?  thats all this thread was over.
other people are breeding shilohs without Tina's OK, and that pisses her off.  she no longer holds the monopoly on the breed and has some competition.

my view of Tina Barber,  just from reading her posts and website: paranoid, controlling, self-righteous and vendictive

this is a stupid arguement. you never heard the people who started breeding labradoodles, or cockapoo's bitching and moaning when everyone else jumped on the bandwagon and started breeding doodles and using their cutesy little names.

same with the shiloh,  just a mixed breed of shepherd, designer mutt.

lets see:
on Tina's website,  she has listed at least 15 litters for 2010.
lets say she avg. 6 pups a litter and sells them for $1500 each (even though prices are a little less or alot more)  we'll just average this.
thats 90 puppies for 2010, and $135,000 being brought in.

with those figures, I probably would also be pissed off that other people were getting in on this and taking potential puppy buyers away from me.

as for the people breeding shilohs and still calling them gsd:
Tina herself has a phrase all over her website:
""Breeding Better Shepherds Since 1962
Dedicated to preserving the exceptional qualities of the
OLD STYLE German Shepherd Dogs ''

Tina doesn't breed gsd,  and she likes to make that fact clearly heard,  but she still likes to market her dogs as GSD too.
if you're dogs aren't gsd, why compare them?

Tina,

I made this really big, so you could read it better and perhaps, finally, comprehend:

I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR KENNEL NAME, WHICH IS ALL THIS IDIOCY FROM YOU IS ABOUT!!!  AND, OBVIOUSLY, NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE!!

So, go whine on a shiloh board to people who might "give a hoot" that mama's having  the vapors over some other money-grubber using her kennel name.

Could you really be any more pathetic?

"NOW, lets see about ALL these BLOWFISH, that want to claim, "I AM A GERMAN SHEPHERD RESCUER", HOWEVER, IF you want a dog I rescued, IT WILL COST YOU BETWEEN 100 and 600 dollars,(you know, expenses).
Whats the PURPOSE of RESCUE, TO MAKE A BUCK...OR SAVE A DOG...I see TOOOOOO many "so called rescuer's putting the $$$$$$$ in front of the dog...If you SAVE A DOG, do it BECAUSE YOU WANT TO...NOT TO MAKE A $$$$$$,

Which those bitchin about Tina and a $$$$$$, ARE MORE THAN GUILTY OF WORSE....
(oh...a litter of purebreds and their pups...send them to me...READ between the lines)"

KitKat,  you are an idiot as usual with your comments, RESCUEING GSD's is very costly!!!! I used to pay out of my own pocket too, like Hodie, but since I am not able to work, they have to try to pay for themselves in order for me to do rescue...
We have costs of spaying and neutering, shots, medicines, other vet bills, I have had 2 dogs that got cancer treatments and dogs with Pannus eye problems, dogs that have to get legs removed, dogs with tumors removed, torsion surgeries, and many other vet bills dog food-high quality-$43 per bag. Gone in a couple days. Transportation costs to pick up and deliver dogs. Phone bills, checking references., answering question and computer time and paper, ink to print out applications, contracts, surrender forms. Website control. Expenses for a senior dog that no one wants. Puppies/young dogs go for more $$ because there is more of a demand and they help pay for the upkeep of the senior/sick dogs...
Yes we do "give" dogs away in certain circumstances.....so there is not always income to help pay the expenses...

WE DON'T MAKE ANY MONEY ON RESCUE DOGS...WE LOSE TONS OF MONEY EVERY YEAR ON THEM, THE TAX RECORDS PROVE THAT. SO DON'T TALK ABOUT SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!!!!
ENOUGH SAID!!!

Mystere is right about being blind.  Tina has tons of pictures that she and others have taken and various shows, complaining about the poor "quality" of the dogs there and how the size has went down.

well, from looking at Tina's studs and bitches, her dogs aren't any bigger and bone isn't any bigger.  Just because the dog is pictured with a child, doesn't make it any bigger.  alot of her dogs are pictured with children, I guess as a ploy to make them seem bigger than they actually are. theres not a dog on her site which impresses me with its "size" and looks.

I've seen larger, better head and boned import dogs than these shilohs which were supposed to be bred for size.

Look at the records of this lady in Upstate NY, complaints filed. etc. Now I see the pic above of a big soft looking long coated narrow headed collie dog. She has not helped her breed or the GS.Its her business what she breeds and produces. The ones I have saw all  had long coats and weak ears.No way they could ever do bite work. To say she started to breed these due to the quality of the shepherd in the 80's is joke nothing then could be as bad as the Shilo's I have seen from her , have you looked at the dogs on her site . Oh what the heck its no use she is making a fortune selling these things, there is a sucker born ever minute I guess. Sin ce a Shilo is not a purebred dog why should anyone care whether someone else is calling them Shilos or hilos its all a mutt

Narrow-headed collie dog?  Well, I guess after looking at the chow heads on the German showlines, everything else looks like a collie to you!

This is a collie head...

Just to keep things in perspective...

LOL! Thanks for clarifying, Molly!  Looks like the camera lens is about to get a slurpy kiss!
