Drill Baby Drill and when it spills Run Baby Run!!!!!

by mtndawg on 04 June 2010 - 21:06

I've been hearing that if BP seals the well, they lose drilling rights. Anybody know if there is any truth to this?

by Uglydog on 04 June 2010 - 21:06

The Rig was Blown......intentionally.
This video explains why

by beetree on 04 June 2010 - 22:06

There won't be much left to BP, either way. The drilling rights thing just doesn't matter at this point, even if I did want to believe it. How the hell can it be profitable to pollute on the level they are doing and at the same time collect oil.

And then what will happen if BP is bankrupt? They won't be trying to plug a hole in the ocean, that's for sure. I want Obama to have OUR own damn plan, and the hell with BP, rights or profits.

by Uglydog on 04 June 2010 - 23:06

Goldman Sachs sold 43% of all of their holdings in BP just 3 weeks prior to this 'incident'-See Chart below.

BP will later be bought back by these same Zio-Corporate terrorists for pennies on the dollar, US taxpayer picks ups the tab for the cleanup.

Get ready to Bend over.....and never mind this is the largest eco disaster in the history of mankind.

It is not the largest eco disaster, that would be the intentional spill in the Persian Gulf in 1991 when Iraqi forces opened the valves of several tankers, attempting to slow US troops.  520 million gallons.

by mtndawg on 05 June 2010 - 00:06

sorry if this is already somewhere in this thread, but just a few numbers here to put this in perspective.  these are rough estimates.

USA oil comsumption: 20,000,000 bbl/day

gulf oil spill: 19,000 bbl/day (the higher end estimate)

gulf spill for 1 year same rate: 6,935,000 bbl

it would take roughly 3 years to spill what we use in one day.  this is a major spill, not downplaying, but a minor bump in the road for big oil i would assume.

minor bump ?

To hell with BP, get those British outta here, go drill baby drill near the Queen where they belong and take all the neo-cons an isms with, and everyone associated with NALCO and that UChicago Argonne program who recieved over 160 milion in stimulous money .. WTF are tey in the Gulf 4 anyhows. Snooping around and tappin, naaaa more like have permission to steal our oil while their corrupt associte thugs handelin our admin profit with that Corexit crap, then send us to war for ours.

Ohh ya and bring all our troops home Obama, every last one of them and what they rode in on.

Why does that statistic matter? You can not put a price on indigenous lifestyles and ecosystems. Arrogance, it is, if one tries.

by mtndawg on 05 June 2010 - 00:06

"Arrogance, it is, if one tries."

yoda? is that you?

seriously though...just saying that we use a bunch of oil and that is where the problem lies. put your sword down.
