I too miss Hodie's posts and insight......although, I can understand & respect her need to "take a break" from the forums...
Respectfully,
Robin

To clarify my above post, what I was trying to say is that  it gets fraustrating at times to read some of the stuff that gets posted here especially when it is about medical stuff where the poor dog is in dyer need of medical intervention and here it is being asked on a board instead of the person getting the dog to a vet. That makes me crazy as well so I can understand if Sharyn does'nt pussy foot around this kind of nensense.Other than that Sharyn has always been one of the FIRST to try and help and with suggestions and advice that are SOLID.She is a very educated lady with ALOT of experiance. She has tried to be productive with her rescue as well even though its alot of work and expensive too.I personally have alot of respect for the LADY and know that she would go over and above to help someone.Sharyn,if you do end up reading this you need to know that there are alot of us that wish you nothing but good wether you come back or not.I for one wish that she was a little closer to me so that I could spend some time with her picking her brain cause God only knows she is a wealth of information.I will continue to keep a relationship with her regardless of any board.

Sharyn aka Hodie was an invaluable member of this board.    Hopefully, she will be back, but she had medical problems of her own to deal with.

Interestingly, it was NOT Sock Puppet who threw in the negativism.

I miss her too. She was always so generous with her wealth of knowledge and sound advice. If one takes offense to her straight forward answers rather than seeing the value in what she has to say, then that is their problem...and their loss.

xtab,

Keep talking. Most of the times she has left it has not been about a blatant personal attack from a loser troll or are you defending said trolls personal attack?

So spin it anyway you want. Man your typing and writing style reminds me of________________.

Good luck with your spin it sure shows me who you are and if people need to be told just how stupid they are then I guess if the shoe fits wear it. Right little troll.

"you always lead a negative on every thing you post."   How is it a negative to post the truth, it only becomes a negative to the troll who said the hurtful things so you are defending said trolls actions?

One last little tidbit for you the reason it is so quite is said troll has not started anything so maybe that is the reason for the peace. Whatcha think?

Hodie come back when you are ready and do not worry about how many names the troll can make up. It is a loser.

Yes, Hodie is missed.

Several times recently there were threads asking for us on the board to give information and insight.  Decent posters asking intelligent questions.  Not people who aren't taking their dog to the vet, but looking for insight and perspective.

I thought for sure that Hodie would weigh in, but, sadly she did not.

You are missed and please come back.

Domenic,
Thanks for your advice, and it is about a medical issue. I understand your concern because I also want to scream when people come on here Oh saying My dog just got run over by a Mack truck, what should I do?
I'm not one of those people.
If something were wrong with one of my dogs I'd go to the vet and tell you about it later.

Just because I'm feeling a bit crotchety today, I will say I won't go to the vet if I know for certain what's ailing my dog and have the treatment here.
However, she had mentioned something in the past the I remembered and a grooming client's dog recently went to the vet to be treated for. I'm a bit skeptical of the vet's finding even though the issue is settled for now so I'd like to pick her brain about it. I suppose I could research it more myself, but I'd enjoy hearing what she has to say.

Mystere, I didn't know she was not well right now, I'll include her in my prayers.

Sock Puppet, I don't have her website or email address and if she's not feeling well I'd rather not bother anyway her since I was just seeking her opinion on something I thought interesting like I said above.

Xbite,  No, most people don't like being called stupid, ignorant or an asshole. A lot of people are one or more of the three though. I thought for awhile she was mean, until I started seeing what she was seeing here, repeatedly.
I don't recall her ever saying any of those things to me personally even if I deserved it, and sometimes I do.
I don't have very thick skin myself, so I do try to word my posts carefully and follow the whole do unto others thing. I am honest, longwinded and have a lot to learn... I also stick to one user name
Anyway I do hope when she is feeling better and up to dealing with this place, she comes back on.

I am sorry Domenic... no need to apologize. I'm grouchy (so being defensive) and have no business being here today but too sick to go play with my dogs today :-/ Thanks for tolerating me
