Louise, you are old enough to remember the movie "Peyton Place"

I had good enough taste not to watch this trash--nor to read the novel.

Two Moons

Another thread gone to hell.

Every creature has it's purpose and needs habitat, the problem is humans claim these habitats and alter the natural balance.

We would destroy anything that threatens us at our own peril from lack of understanding that balance.

You can lessen the threats without destroying them entirely.

But in the end, we must remember how to live with them, not try to control what is beyond our wisdom to control.

Man has never had the knowledge to manage nature and never will.

Snakes are easily caught and relocated but one day they will have no where else to go.

Same as the great predators.

I have the same fears as anyone else when it comes to dangerous creatures, but I choose not to live in a bubble.

Shame we don't remove dangerous humans from our habitat as we do other creatures.

Shame we can't leave some places alone so nature can go on despite us.

it's has simple as watching where you step and where you choose not to step.

I went down to the dog park today--where the local schutzhund club trains. Encountered no "snakes" or crocadiles there.  Everyone was cordial  and asked about my boys by name.

I have an agreement with the poisonous snakes on my property:

"You stay out of my way, I'll stay out of yours"

BUT cross my path, endanger my animals including the dogs.  They are killed no questions asked.  You say why? Because they violated our agreement.  By the way; its not my fault they couldn't read the agreement, lol.

just remember, more snakes are killed by humans, than humans are killed by snakes.  austriaia has the largest population of dangerous, highly venomous species on the planet.  you should look at their bite statistics.

it will be a very sad day when the last snake is killed. infact it could be the end of all our farm crops, hence food supply ect.
everything has a place and is connected, from the smallest creature to the biggest

THANKS!  I   HAVE   THREE ACRES surrounded by a creek and piney woods..these copperheads come from everywhere . I do have two wood piles, new , cut this last spring, and do have piles of metal and poles on one side of barn. Trailers are off ground but they still provide shade.  Barn in up on pilings so they go under there in the sand and I do try to put sulfur and DE around this area. My home is on pier and beam.  They also like to come to my property for the bugs under the many outdoor night lights on the poles.. I have to have light on my property so it is an endless chore to rid my place of these poisonous reptiles. I will behead and kill anyone of them I find. Abby got  bit two times one week out of whelp and lost 5 pups of 8.  They bled out as vet said they might...benedryl , vit c and antibotic did the deed. Couldn't be helped.. Copperheads are very poisonous and some people in Whitehouse have suffered very bad hospital stays and one lady died. She was over the age of 65, so Louise   do not come to Texas.

I do not know who you are referring to in your post above about Reunion of belly crawling venemous culprits.?
I met lots of schutz people in Hutto and we have a big number of fine db people here in Texas...we stand proud and we wear our Spirit with taste. We are proud to be Texans. If you come make sure you wear your boots and bring your own means of protecting yourself.
