ramgsdwrote:

"OK. Thanks for the PM as to why Oli took down the IP numbers. Not being into computers that much didn't know how important those numbers are. Perhaps a moderator or two? "

Is there anyone that could be trusted 100% to be a moderator?? I think not.. Seems the ones who are the" most experienced" on here, are quite capable of the same things the less experienced are.. Actually they are MORE likely to just completely take control to their benefit, and of course a few of their BFFs on here.. Oli is the one who really needs to take over HIS forum. NO ONE ELSE....That way no one can be blamed for anything except him...

JUST MY OPINION....

IP addresses are not an invasion of privacy. An IP address just shows a general area. It does not show your name, address or phone number.

Why are people so afraid to show an IP it is more or less useless.

The only reason I can think of to want to hide an IP is multiple user names or you live in a total different area than what you are saying.

Like Gsdtravels said every website collects this info and more, you are not even aware of.

I disagree with the people who say if we use real names our identity will be stolen. Wrong there are millions of real names on the web why would anyone steal your name here when they have more info in a phone book or on line.

The people who think this are being very irrational at least and paranoid at most.

I have asked Oli to switch everyone to real names I have even suggested how to bring about the changes. It could be why we are in safe mode a lot cause he is making changes to switch to real names. Won't that be the shit for certain people.

Use real names and you will see 90% of this BS dry up and blow away.

I can tell you Oli is not getting rich from this place. He probably barely breaks even so again you are wrong. Good let them go but I will say I think you are wrong and more people would come back.

You would know pay charging everyone $5.00 paid by a credit card and not one of these prepaid deals. Paypal or another company can handle all the payment info. It is easy and very doable and safe.

Fake credit cards? Won't be long before you are in jail.

Same as the other thread everyone give there full name and address if you have nothing to fear then why not i am in full agreement with it, so many people get there names turned to mud on these websites and cannot do a thing about it
if names and address was there then they can take action if they so wish too, It is only right they be given that chance outside of the Forum

And here is the kicker Steve someone likes to post others names but won't even say what there dogs pedigree is. It is bullshit and any excuse is just that an excuse.
