I have just seen this article about Karat's Ulko and I can tell you that it was scandelous what happened at the Danish Siegershow 2005, I was there and there were dogs who were so much beter and who have had much better places at the BZSH 2004 yet they were thrown way in the back while dogs like Ulko were made Sieger.A friend of mine was also bitten in the ring by that dog but the judge did nothing and later I was also told that because the dog was also co-owned by the judge so noone could do anything.

Hmmmm i guess that we have to believe the first comment on this issue and as Sport Dog sayed can we please end this thread.

What a disgrace to a reknowned kennelm judge and dog. One should thank you Blue night but the whole process would have been alot easier if all facts were on hand. when you started this post.

Looks like politics on ownership and judges, and nothing to actually do with the video clip. Talk about a "spin" on facts. Everyone who judges has a different opinion. That is why there are so many shows and trials and different results.

by Sport Dog on 18 May 2006 - 16:05

Everything that needs to be said on this dog, the judge and various people that are involved and not involved that is good or bad has been said.I hope everyone is satisfied that their voice has been heard on this topic. Now, could we PLEASE end this thread? Thanks.

Here are the results of first 10-15 males in the working class males from the Danish Champion Breeders Show in 2004 and 2005. Mona wrote that she in 2004; saw much better dogs, placed in the top of this class. I have done some research on the Internet. Sorry Mona, but I cant find them. Please take a look and make up your own mind, about the judgment of the working class males in 2004 and 2005. 2004 VA1 KARATS YOKER VA2 DOUG VAN NOORT VA3 KARATS ULKO VA4 RINDUMS KAISER VA5 PASCALIS EIKO VA6 KARO VAN DER HERDERSFARM VA7 CHIJAS OTHELLO VA8 KIAMIS IKON V1 THORNBLADS FELIX V2 ALDERSLYST DADDY COOL V3 SJÄLLANDS KUNTA V4 YARUS VON KIRSCHENTAL V5 HARRISON FORD VOM KREUZBUSCH V6 LYSHÖJ RATTATA V7 LERI VALDEMAR 2005 VA1 KARATS ULKO VA2 RINDUMS KAISER VA3 ESTO VAN NOORT VA4 PASCALIS EIKO VA5 THOMSEBO JANZO VA6 HASSENKAMS NILAS V1 PAKA GAMBRINUS V2 CARLY VON BLUE-ROSE V3 LYSHÖJ RATTATA V4 KARATS KARO V5 KARATS MATTY V6 BAC VON DER PRINZENSCHEISE V7 ALDERSLYST DADDY COOL As you hopefully all can see, most of the males from the top are the same in both cases. So please stop this nonsense and false allegations. Use this message board in a nice way, as it hopefully was meant to from the beginning. Only then can we be proud of owning a German shepherd dog.

ok I'm confused now..did Ulko lose his title because of what happened in the video?? Or why?

by WIM on 19 May 2006 - 06:05

Karat's Ulko lost his title.... how important can that be where the VA title in Danmark means as much as becoming a worldchampion in your own backyard... please stop this nonsens because it is not going anywhere.. Wim.

Reply to Valde: Danish Siegershow 2005 Obviously for you the rest of the dogs did not count otherwise like I said there was a dog way down your list that did very well in Karlsruhe 2004. If you happen to have the video of the siegershow you will see when the judge was doing his (Stand Korung) I do not how you call that in English he did very well but when the time came to be placed in the ring he was placed so far behind he did not even have a chance. I was also there at the greeting dinner and some people already knew which place their dog will be since they were very good friends with the judge. For your info I said there were dogs that were much better which was true and there was indeed a dog who had done very well at the BZSH 2004 and I am not in the habbit of making false allegation.I was there and I even saw the owners and handler of the dog confronting the judge for an explaination which they never got. Also for your info I have nothing against Karat's Ulko or its breeder/owner and as far as losing his title no-one is to be blamed for it except the judge who should have done his work as it should be. I only wrote what I witnessed and if you read properly you will see that I have not accused anyone of anything ,it is purely my personal observation and if you cannot deel with it then that's your problem but please do not insult people. This board is being used in a nice way ,people are just saying what they have seen and experienced nothing else.

1. Apparently the VA1 spot has been disputed and over some technicality, it has been rescinded. This is politics. Dog show winners change with judges every weekend. Get over it. 2. The video also apparently has nothing to do with that situation. 3. Someone has chosen to present these two facts in such an ambiguous way, making it appear that they are cause and effect, and thus this whole scandal was raised out of smoke and mirrors. Added to that were several anonoymous people who felt that their opinion was the only valid one and that it should be taken as gospel and fact!!! 4. The majority of the other people posting, those who know the dog, have seen the dog, know the owners, the handlers, the trainers, and even the actual former owner of the dog have attempted to present rationally stated information that the dog is of normal by standard and stable temperament given he is a mature adult stud male. 5. The internet is a wonderful tool to learn and share information. Unfortunately it is also a wonderdul tool for people who are petty, destructive and sometimes, just plain stupid!
