Bob you are talking about the indeturing our kids.  My wife has a dieases called lupus.  Our dogs are the only kids we will have.  So  to have only one choice is like indeturing our kids to one point of veiw.  i wish there where 10 different schutzhund organizations that came together once a year in fair competion to determain who was the best. That is how we figure who is the best.  Let the public decide which organization to belong to. This Is The USA not some europian socialist country. If the rest of the world does not like it. To hell with them

but in Schutzhund sport it does not work that way..LMC...you have to have rules met, and certain guidelines done before you can send a dog contender to THE NATIONALS or the Seiger or any top event...if you have 10 orginazations,  they will all not have the money, trainers, or  the sanction to do anything unless it is passed thru the Judging and the people who hand out the scorebooks and run the orginazation to achieve all that..There is a lot to putting together all this...

It has to be done a certain way and if it cannot be under one organization then the biggest one always rules what happens...That is what the fight is all about now.  When you have those that see the gsd one way and others that see it the other way....the way that doesnt meet the top standard will never get to Nationals...or on a team so we go back to square one..This is not a mediocre game like foot ball where luck and time runs out will get your dog a chance to even get there...

              16 years ago my wife lost our first child in birth we have never had the joy of children so we to have 5 children of the GSD breed. I don,t treat my dogs like possesions the live with me and my wife to do more then just train on a field. and no matter what the politcal out come is i will treat my dogs no differently.
 
But Y.R. is correct. You are caught up in some type of mind frame that I havent been able to grt thru to. There will always be choices in the training of our dogs. You control that and no one else but if once a year all 10 of these orginizations get together there going to have to agree to one way of trialing and judging and point scoring??? different org,s coming to gether in a unified goal...Your asking the same question you keep answering your self. 

But Bob And Yellow rose.in soccer you have many organizations,many countries,many ideas of how to win the world cup. the rules are the same.different ways of acheiving them. I think the schutzhund routines are pretty self explainitory. forgive my spelling. if we had many small self supporting organizations that worked to be the best we would all be better off. I do not care about the trainers that make a living of the sport they are the problem. They are the ones in power trying to push the guys who want to have fun to either do it their way or quit cause you can not compete. Even if you get your goal of one organization there are still going to be people that will say i don't fit in with your idea of what is best.Like I said. The Schutzhund routine is pretty self explainitory.  Bring in judges from a different country to judge the best of the best from the "10" different organizatios to decide who represents the USA at the wusv.Bob Yellow rose this is the USA YOU WILL NEVER GET EVERYONE TO FOLLOW ONE LEADERSHIP

We do have judges from a different country come here all the time.  The SV judges from Germany.  USA hasn't taken away anyone's freedom, but  they are saying  make your choice.  You are free to choose whichever organization you want.  I choose USA.

By the way, I am a "little person" in the sport too.  I know a few of those big time trainers/handlers.  They have always been there to happily and generously lend a helping hand to a lot of "little people", myself included.  Personally I am damn grateful to the "big boys and girls" of schutzhund, here and abroad.

For many decades, there was one voice for the GSD in the U.S. The GSDCA. How has that worked out. In Germany, there is one voice for the GSD, the SV. For those who continually complain about the direction of the s/l, (certainly justified in many instances) how has one voice worked out.

Bob, unless I am misreading you, you are speaking of unification of goals among the organizations, which I agree fully with. Although I don't see it happening.

If you are talking about combining under one organization, then which one do you propose. And who do you propose to be the one voice for the GSD in the U.S.
