For some reason a lot of posts are not registering on the messageboard so I decided to start a new thread in hopes that those who wish to voice their opinions on the heated discussion already in progress will have a chance to be heard. sandra, I believe trashing a person's reputation in a public forum reveals one of two things: either you are afraid to discuss this matter with Steve House personally because you know you are lying or you are covering for your dog's insufficiences. It would seem to me that a person with integrity would go to the source of the dispute, in this case Steve House, rather than peddle their pissiness in public. Personally, I find this kind of trash talking reprehensible and a total waste of valuable space on this board. Now, why don't you take your crap offline and talk to Steve? Or don't you have the guts to do that? I can vouch personally for Steve's excellent helper work so your claim is baseless in my mind and I'm sure that of many other people.

police dogs are ready for this event to protect people of possible terrorist attacks

I was there at this Breed Survey that is being talked about. Sandra you are a LIAR. I remember you when you were at Steve and Cindy's in there backyard asking for help for the breed survey. You had purchased this dog recently and wanted help. First of all the dog was not ready for the breed survey since you have not developed a bond with the dog and you yourself stated this. You did not know if you or your husband were going to handle the dog. I saw the dog did not have a bond with either one of you. Now for the breed survey. The dog came off the sleeve because he got stepped on by Steve (and yes Sandra this does happen) it was not done intentionally. The stick hits had NOTHING to do with the dog coming off the sleeve. You then come barreling onto the field like a crazy woman and throw a hissy fit(you should have been disqualified after that tantrum) and your dog should have not gotten another try, he should have been disqualified also. You should thank your lucky stars you got another chance.I saw a pic of a dog at the sieger show with the horrible rain and all slip under the helper and he still had a great grip, so your dog got stepped on and he comes off what does that show.Just because he is a sch3 and you spent alot of money on him means nothing. Steve House has many years of experience and would NEVER hurt a dog for anything. In fact he does all he can to help the dog. Steve is an excellent helper and will do anything to help someone. I wish there was a video because if there was this post would have never started. I know what I saw and it is the truth. You have absolutely no right to blame Steve you should be blaming yourself as the dog's handler(that is if you still handle him) Sandra you stated in your previous posts about how your dog was hit to hard with the stick you blamed the helper and then you say you trial him again and all was great and then you say he was hit to hard during the third time and you blame the helper again. You need to learn how to lose with dignity instead of every time things don't go your way you throw a fit and blame someone else, look in the mirror and that is who you should blame.

Police dogs are not SchH dogs, and when encountering a terrorist a dog really does not need to bite precisely into a sleeve only and will be disqualified if they grab another body part, out on command and work with absolute precision for top points. Effective is all that is needed for such encounters, regardless of how dirty the dog may work. So lets not compare apples with oranges. Few K9 dogs would pass a SchH trial after they have had a few live bites. Nor do they need to. Nor will a SchH dog need to be able to do K9 work.

Oh by the way I also put a reply under the other section for sticks hits and it does not appear for viewing, what a coinsidence. Seems like someone does not what to hear others opinion on who actually saw this happen. Denise

Denise, I think its just a glitch in the site, has happened before. If you look at it now the right hand side bar has disappeared and the option to post. Cabalero, I just noticed that you had put up a different topic. Did you want to start a new thread maybe?

Re: Any dog that gets its foot stepped on... Is it unintentional, or is it to make the dog look bad? Did this happen to any other dogs? If so, did they also come off the sleeve? What about helpers that jam the dogs? Is this also unintentional? OR is this all male ego proving that they are stronger and by physical abuse can control a dog? Tell me this does not happen? EVER!

I can only speak about this incident since I was there and saw the whole thing. It was not intentional by any means. I know Steve would not do this to hurt the dog. Steve spent alot of time with Sandra and her husband the day before the breed survey why would he then go out and hurt the dog. While he was HELPING the handler and the dog, this woman Sanda kept interupting the session. I can't speak for other helpers but I can for Steve House and when I see a friend getting bashed for no reason I will speak up. This whole thing happened a year ago why all of a sudden is this brought up now? why didn't she speak up sooner if she thought her dog was hit so hard. Do you think it might be because she has trialed recently and is having problems again. I am only guessing but that is my thought. Denise

I was not talking trash about Steve House, I was stating the truth. Steve was talked to about this, so you must not know everything. I guess it is a lot easier to say he stepped on his foot rather than to admit the truth. Everybody can beleive what you want that is your right. I know what happened and so does a lot of other people due to the amount of e-mails I have recieved. The Judge saw it to, but there is only one question. If Steve stepped on his foot why did the judge tell Steve not to use the stick the second time during the protection? My dog came back and did it again. How many dogs would do that? And as for having the dog we have had this dog for a while and we did not just get him before this. Steve did not spend a lot of time with us, yes he did catch our dog once or twice. We did get some help with the ring (not from Steve)from Kathy Blank and we appericated her help) because we do not do show dogs. The whole point is this: If a helper hurts a dog in protection the helper needs to held responsible. You can talk trash about me all you want I know what happened and so does a lot of other people. Oh! by the way he came off of the sleeve after the first stick hit re- bit and came off again after the second stick hit, Did Steve step on his foot twice?????No I saw the stick hit. He was not even driving the dog. How can that happen? Sandra
