i was doing some breeding research today & came across some tidbits.  Food for thought.

Observation:  Einstein was the son of parents who were 1st cousins.  ( No banjoes there!)

History is replete with many examples of intensive inbreeding producing some of the most influential breeding animals.  Some of the most inbred animals on the face of the earth are Holstein cattle.  Dairy farmers know they would go broke from the inferior milk production of out-crossed animals.  The quality of the specimen used in any breeding is far more important than whether or not a particular animal has a very low inbreeding coefficient or whether the proposed breeding will result in a low coefficient.

This thread and these attacks have gone on far too long.

It is not inbreeding, line breeding or out cross that determines the health of any breeding. It is the knowledge of the breeder of the genetics behind the dogs that is valuable.

A complete out cross can produce many issues, because the breeder does not know the genetics behind what he is doing.

Rooka, you seem to this point to be very satisfied with your dog. You sought and received very much advice and recommendations for a breeder. You chose one with many years knowledge of his lines and highly recommended. You got a pup at a reduced price and that the breeder guaranteed to be correct.  By your own admission, the pup is exactly as described and good for your home.

Then you come here to complain, and put the breeder in a poor light to the world. For what purpose. Does your dog now have issues. According to you, no. So, think about what you have done. If your dog has issues, then take it to the breeder.
