Holy Crap!  I just typed the longest message and PDB said the page was unavailable.....sigh!  It's hard to write something from the heart twice!

Veronica,

OSU can send the records to me, I can pick them up or they can send them to the refering vet.  Since you don't want them to come from me I will have to have the records sent to the refering vet and then they can be sent from there.  That way IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM will my hands touch them.  The refering vet does however already have all these records (see the "Sent To Ref Vet Jun 21, 2010" stamped on the records?) as do I.  But this is what you want, isn't it?

As soon as Dr. Calwell gets back she is to call me and I will give her permission to discuss with you Athos's medical records/history...in return I would like you to remove your comments or have them removed about me on the website/blog created by Linda Chapman as these things are untrue to say the least!  I think that is fair, don't you?

From my heart I want you to know:

Do I blame you?  NO, not at all
Do I think you knew he was sick? No, not at all
Did I defend you when people said you knew he was sick and you were trying to unload a sick dog while you still could?  YES!  I ABSOLUTELY DID DEFEND YOU....which is more than I received from you via the blog that is circulating about me........
Am I bitter?  No, not at all.  Disappointed, Very much so!
Would I purchase another dog from you if you were still in the business?  I don't see why not......

Veronica, I am sorry that I didn't handle this in a more urgent manner.  I just THOUGHT I was being kind by not pressuring you since you were in the middle of a remodel and you said you would have to make payments back to me anyway.  I didn't think there was an urgency, I never got hostile with you and I never called you and raised hell about the situation nor did I make any kind of demands for payment.  I guess being kind doesn't pay............I learned a thing or two!  God help the next person I purchase a dog from and it isn't as it should be, LOL!

Well, I am gonna run as I have much to do.....  We leave in less than 18 hours to go spend what could be our last weekend with my son, Matthew, before he deploys to Afganistan on Tuesday!

Why do I have to keep repeating this? You already said you would do it. In fact...didn't you say it was done? Why are you balking...again?

I reiterate:

**I want the records sent by certified mail straight from OSU.  With a tracking number from them sent to me. And permission to actually see the records once they arrive at my vet's office. I've already spoken with OSU, they say this is not a problem, why is it a problem for you? What's the hold up? Have you had them send the records yet? This is what I have been requesting for 8+ months.
**I want to talk to the diagnosing veterinarian.  You say you have done that, thanks. I guess I'll find out for sure when she returns on February 28th.

I thought you said, when I requested this stuff that: "It is already done."

I am one of the people who donated towards Heidi's care. Personally, the way I see it, if one chooses to donate online to a cause they have no actual contact with then you take your chances. I don't need to see receipts, or pics, or even get an update. Was I glad to see them when posted, yes, but I put no conditions on my donation. I don't recall Vickie ever telling me that I would get updates. The fact that she posted was a bonus, not a requirement. Same thing if I donate to a homeless guy downtown, I chose to give the money and hope that it ends up being helpful, but do I go back to the guy the next day and ask for a breakdown of how he spent my $10? No.
I'm pretty trusting in general and it has served me well thus far. I feel like I get back the spirit I put out there, if every now and then someone is dishonest with me then so be it, but I never go into a relationship assuming malicious intent and hope that others enter into dealing with me the same way.
Heidi looks great and I'm happy to see it, but am I going to go nuts about getting proof of how "my" money was spent? The way I see it, it wasn't mine once I released it, I didn't enter into a business deal, I gave a donation in good faith and left it to work out the way it hopefully would.

Without seeing any part of this thread other than the first and last pages I'll just say this ... from one rescuer to another, Thankyou for helping Heidi! You did a great job, opening your heart and home to a dog in need is wonderful. Bless you!

Missy,
You should do some more reading before offering the accolades.
