I did not say she was conducting a seminar, I asked you if you had attended one,
Her's is still a type of a seminar if she is teaching and showing people how to handle a dog or whatever she was supposed to be showiing them. However it is no big deal i reserve my judgement on what i not so much see, but what i HEAR, that alone is more than enough

I think she makes a very good point and I have seen bad handlers / trainers doing exactly what she describes.

If you Guys can make much of her shouting and singing then that must be the normal way of doing things in the USA. Because it is not over here things are said and done carmly I never see any reason to act that way even if you are trying to get a point across to others with the dogs.
We are certainly not used to hearing it in the country i live in or at any Dog training or any group doing with the Dogs over here it does not happen,
But then we are a long way apart and we all look at Training Dogs in a different way i guess.
For sure our countries we are poles apart in the way of thinking with german Shepherd Dogs

That was good, had me laughing..I see exact thing she was demonstrating everywhere..i must admit i used to do that too with my 1st dog..ehh good old days when you come home just as dirty and more exhausted than a dog because you been physically trying to control every aspect of so called "training"...LOL thank god for youtube and forums and clubs..LOL

steve...you must be stressed or depressed i had never seen so many threads with you  being completley off the target...i had never heard you separate "you" and "us" US vs Canada...Kibble vs raw... and with such bitterness.....i mean what is going on? you okay?

Ladyfrost
No never stressed or depressed only when i see videos like the one in this thread, How can people be taken in by this person, Training Dogs is fun but fun doing the right thing That person is not teaching those people watching her any good tips However i guess they paid the money and had a good laugh themselves
I guess my style of writing is different to you Guys but thats it some read it different to way way i write it thats for them to decide.
Yes, i think the training methods are a lot different over here in Europe or i had better say Belgium than they are in the USA, but saying that each to there own if it works for them and us then it is correct
I have a Dry but  warped sense of Humour

Steve1, sorry to be banging on................but the title of this thread "Building drive by "being" a bad dog trainer* is an oxymoron in itself.  Do you not get it?  Its not a US training style!  "Bad dog trainers" in Europe do that too.

YES, i do get it, What i do not get is why the need to show it that way is completely unnecessary, You do not need to show anyone how to be a bad dog trainer there are 75% more of them than good dog trainers, However i for one am not used to seeing a person act that way with dogs,
Evidently some of you Guys may have seen similar things but i never have not with the circle of people  i go with, and even in my youth some 61 years ago i have never seen the likes of that performance
Training and the saying's in the USA are different from here to a good degree, i am going by what is bought up on this site nothing else i can go on as i have never been to the USA
Let me put it in another way Comedians, I have never laughed at a Comedian who comes from the USA and tells Jokes, and i think i am correct with the people in the USA they do not find the English brand of humour funny, now do you understand what i am saying, It is the culture we are bought up in and get to know, nothing wrong with the Funny men of both countries it is what the people are used to no other way i can explain it

Steve1, it's ok that the humor didn't translate for you, your explaining that makes me understand why you took it very seriously. I, myself have not run into a trainer who does that but I have seen owners/handlers who do and so it made me laugh. My only complaint about the post is that I've been running around saying "smacka baby, smacka baby!" LMBO =) Take care, Jennifer
