Ravi,

I'm surprised there's not more about the Universal competition here on PDB. I haven't been able to download any of the results. I was thinking about starting a topic titled "The making of Universal Sieger". I wonder if the topic would get any participation? This competition is really the essence of what the breed is really about.

If you check back a few pages you will see these bloodlines identified as emerging. Page 25, I posted this comment:

Good observation. I'm confident we will soon see Enzo Buchorn being one of the better producers as the dogs identified here fade out of the pedigrees with Yello being one of the better. I co own a Yello daughter.

There was not enough accomplishments to as of this exercise to really claim the genetics are consistent producers based on the criteria we used in this study.

If we add Zambo to the list, what dogs are common? Ibrahim, can you go back and add a different color for the dogs with Enzo in the pedigree and see if there are many.

Did I read here somewhere that this was Erin's first dog or am I mistaken in that.

Regardless, what an accomplishment for both the dog and the trainer.

Thank you for all of the congratulations and compliments about my dog Zambo vom Riedschlurgi. Zambo and I won the 1st WUSV Universal Sieger World Championships in Austria this past weekend. I was honored to be part of the team representing the USA, and thrilled that my dog performed so well against some top schutzhund dogs. Zambo is indeed my first dog. I have been able to accomplish this much because I have a good dog, a great trainer, and a very very supportive family.

Erin,

Congratulations to you, Zambo and the rest of your team!

I was finally able to read the results and see Kevin Nance and Vandal Mittelwest made it through the competition, Bogdon was there representing his country. Katharina was there rounding out her show career with a Universal entry.

The Universal concept is really were I think the focus should be in the breed. I think I'm one of the few. I'm going to start a thread on the Universal dog. It deserves it's own thread. I hope you, Kevin, and Ravi will contribute.

Hi Erin,
sorry I wasn't there to congratulate in person, but I wished you luck the week before in Anspach and apparently it fruited.  Congratulations, a very memorable moment, the first official Universal Sieger, and achieved by a handler with her first dog, who would have dreamed the way it would go when you acquired Zambo as a pup.  Very pleased to have met you, hats off for the very successful team.     Trixi

Randy,

When this thread was on its peak I requested some well known breeders, some of them have many dogs in above pedigrees, to take part in this discussion and contribute some of their knowledge, they all apologized. What was bothering me and I had doubt about is Jeck Noricum pattern, I'm not convinced it is a pattern for work, it is actually a filling in the pedigrees for type and anatomy, it is not for the work.
I was told by few German breeders that Yasko work ability is due to Cello and Ghandi's is due to Ulk and not due to their paternal side.
I tend to agree with this especially after adding Xambo and looking what is behind Yellow till I reached Marko and went again through all the other Nominees pedigrees to look for the added pattern.
I shall post the new patterns removing Jeck Noricum one and adding Enzo ........ Marko, if you don't agree to this or if anyone else objects please tell me before I do.

Ibrahim

I correct: ...... Yasko work ability is due to Cello and Ghandi's is due to Cello and Ulk.

Adding Zambo, new pattern Enzo .... Marko
