Everytime this thread gets near the bottom, Gigante brings it back to the top. Don't punish GG because you have a problem with me.

It is not against the TOS to keep bringing a thread back to the top.

Beetree, why do you keep snipping members who had nothing to say to you? You have been asked repeatedly to stop and you don't have the self control to stop. Just a friendly suggestion-I would find that self control as this is wearing on the admins.

And Beetree one of the admins reminded me that you were one of the people who complained in the past about letting threads go a little off topic and working there way back to topic without us stepping in. I am sorry that now you appear to be saying just the opposite.

If you don't like it, stay off it, ignore it, don't read it, don't click on it and show some control by not commenting on it.

Well then, we should quickly get back on topic for the sake of keeping the sanity of ggturner and beetree intact.

GSD,

I am reacting to the insensitivity being shown to GGturner. I have empathy for her situation, I  can understand it. I feel she is the underdog. Like you have stated yourself, I too, have a hard time standing by and watching her abuse. Yes, at times I have a big mouth. I am sorry about that, but MY heart is in the right place. You used to see that.

You have the choice. She doesn't, and she is a real person who is being hurt by this.

So, Gigante and whomever, let this thread die. I won't post to any of you again, if that will make it happen.

One more new dog shooting story from this month:

I think we have more than enough anecdotal evidence in this thread to show the general public that they should have great concern for their pets safety, IF and WHEN law enforcement shows up at thier homes (both announced and unannounced ). For example photgraphers have plenty of info on the net to prepare them for encounters when their civil rights are being violated, many lawyers have given basic guidlines for photographers to follow in the field.  There are plenty of one-pager cheat-sheets that can be printed and carried in thier pockets.  It would seem to me that pet owners across the USA are in a similar situation and should come up with some general guidlines for keeping thier pets safe from law enforcement, written of course by and attorney.

Gigante

GG & Bee the title of thread is Keeping your dog safe from Law enforcement. The article posted is on topic. Its been mentioned many times in this thread, that not only dirt socks get shot but people as well are injured and killed by the unlawful actions of some criminal police officers.

I know because of your two opinions that authority can do no wrong and you should bow down and kowtow to police even when they are in error, that you disapprove of this thread. You two continue to whine and attempt to label this thread as bashing, but never never never argue the facts or post articulate counter points.  Just like all bullies, you just throw rocks, and that says volumes.

So now you two our accusing a senator, governor and a state of police bashing.

There is nothing unreasonable with this law. If someone anyone including a LEO enters your home unlawfully you have the right to protect your family from him/her. Thats not new, is a very old law, just now recognized in that state.

Only a person without honor would be upset about this law upon deep reflection. Only a person without honor would be upset if I or you protected ourselves and our family or property from that person while in error.

Its funny that the only people talking about bashing police are LEO cheerleader's. Not the thread.

The thread has been very specific. When bashing its Bashing animal abuser's placed in positions of authority.

Why you two will protect animal abusers to your death, is baffling to say the least.

Edited to add:

So, Gigante and whomever, let this thread die. I won't post to any of you again, if that will make it happen.

This thread is not about you two. Its about protecting your pets from Police. Like all threads it dies when interest dies. My hope or agenda is that it dies quickly as well, not for your feelings or gg's, but because action is taken and my dirty socks and yours are given an appropriate amount of honor for their place in our lives.

Just wanted to say here's one for the guys in BLUE!

Unfortunately I don't know how to embed but if someone else knows how to, go for it! I believe the site is "Modified K9 Blog". If not the story is "Police Respond to Vicious Dog in Baltimore City" Sunday May 20, 2012.
