I was wondering if anyone that ever visit's this site does any hearding at all?And if anyone ever has done or gotten the HGH on their dogs?I am thinking about venturing into it but not to sure about the resources here in Texas.Anyone know of any good HGH trainers or where to find them? Thanks in advance, Jerry

Jerry, I train my dogs for HGH and tile them here in NJ. As far as I know there are no trainers for HGH in TX. You can find some info about our HGH trials on www.sheep-herding.com Ulf

Ulf, you are the only HGH trainer here in the US, right? at least that is what I have heard, and yours is the only place that is holding the HGH trials?? Are you doing any clinics? Jerry, I am training my dogs for the HGH, but I am by no means an expert, that you would have to go to Ulf's place in NJ. But I am training here in TX, I have posited the place befor, but you can email me if you want it again. Heather draggahaus@yahoo.com

<> It depends on your definition of a trainer. I am sure that some would reject that notion of Ulf Kintzel being the only one. However, it is true that we (First HGH Herding Club, USCA member club) are so far the only ones who have put on HGH trials. So far nobody is in sight who will do the same in the near future. However, there are others, mainly in the Northeast and some in CA who have trained a dog for course C (AKC), have taken lessons with me for a while and have then titled their dogs here as well. Those who want to title a dog as a HGH should look for a good sized flock in their area ( let's say at least 50 or 60 sheep), train with somebody who is at least somewhat familiar with tending or course C and then maybe take a few lessons up here before titling. That has proven to be the most successful way of doing this. I don't do clinics anymore because I don't think anything is gained trainingwise. IMO individual lessons are the way to go. Ulf

oh your right, that is what I ment, that yours is the only place to title...sorry blonde moment...so can anyone join your herding club, or do you have to live in the area to do so... Heather

We invite people to join our club. Potential candidates must have something to contribute to the herding and we would like to see them at a trial that we know they are serious about us and the HGH training. Living in our area is not a requirement. Ulf
