Camillo's brother Carol, in N.E. PA. (Yeahm MY dog ;) Producing extremely well. 4 of his last litter in Germany now Sch H 1, at 2 yrs. old, SG in show (youth class) realistically expected to get V/Kkl. 1. ALL a1 hips/normal elbows. Camillo/Carol breeding repeated 4x... impressive results in working events AND several V in BSZS, Carol 2x . If you are seroius about establishing a solid breeding PROGRAM, don't just look at the dog... Look at the consistency produced in the extended family of the dog... litter after litter, generation after generation, crossed on a variety of bloodlines! Another importan consideration: N America (and everywhere else) is LOADED with Fero and Mink...2, 3x in nearly every pedigree. Do you REALLY WANT to go for more? Where do you go from there, with the results of the breeding? You can't raise te dead through concentred linebreeding, however much you might want to ;) Th show dog mafia tried for years, first with Canto Wienerau (argh!) and more recently, more concentrated than at any time in the history of the breed, with Uran (Palme) Wildsteigerland [ex: not unusual: Palme 5-5,4-5-5,,, and on and on an...] C-litter Arolser Holz is Fero & Mink FREE; excellent alternative for those who are breeding themelves right into a tight corner with Fero and Mik through Troll, Lewis, Jago... etc. without introducing the "fuzzy," (questionable documentation?) of E. European lines and/or inconsistent production for at least the first genertion or two one can expect with a complete outcross. Think about it. ;) SS

Hi SS, Great to find out who has Carol. We heard that he had been imported here to the states. We have heard wonderful things about him and his progeny.

V-Eagle v Eichenluft Sch3,FH,IPO3,KKl-1lbz,OFA Good. He's 23X Schh3 always pronounced, 18X Regional and National level, not a "home field titled" dog. Always praised for his power in the gripwork and natural tracking skills. V in conformation, KKl-1 for life. Dark red/black sable, produces his pigment, bone, excellent temperament, nerve, clear headed strong work and high drives in his pups. Producing outstanding hips and elbows including OFA Excellent. 8.5 years old and still working strong and sound at National level. FH Championship competitor with 99 points. Also Therapy dog evaluated, trained cadaver detection, not dog aggressive, herding instinct evaluated. The "total package" located in central PA, available only to approved quality females. http://workinggermanshepherd.com

I'd like to throw Hawk vom Eichenluft (7X)SchH3, CGC, TDI, KKL2 into the mix here. Located in Connecticut with Kandi Jacopino! Have bred to him with awesome results. I have Mercedes von Hayden out of him who is leaving for Germany for SchH training late this month. Have another litter expected from him next month. :-)

I am a BIG fan of Hawk Vom Eichenluft.

I am also a fan of Hawk v Eichenluft- he is an excellent working male with a great deal to offer the breed and the right females. He is a wonderful medium size, with short back, deep pigment, correct structure, sound and healthy with genetic grip and work ethic. He has an absolutely stable temeperament and nerve, no dog aggression, lives in the house and is still serious in his aggression, not a "sporty" dog. His puppies so far have been outstanding. He comes from the same extreme strong female lines as Eagle. It would be hard to find stronger female lines as these two males carry to their offspring. molly http://workinggermanshepherd.com

this is very interesting thread. What about the dog in Atlanta that was 4th in the world? The first dog to be national champion for USA and WDA. Posting 294 at both trials. Merlin vom Conneforde is the most overlooked dog in the country. None of the dogs mention in this thread have done half of what Merlin has done. He is currently ready to compete At the WUSV again this yr. If you are looking at performance then he is the best in the country right now and one of the favorites to win the WUSV this year.Lets wish him luck. ceddy
