"Out of curiosity, Who is "your" favorite working line male on the East Coast. which dog has been producing,(or has himself) excellent temperments, sound nerves, hard dogs, with very good conformation?" People have their favorites or males that have just started in a breeding program. But, the question that was asked is: what is producing. Normally, that means on the field and in competition. Not what the young dog is doing in training or someone has seen as an ability in alitter of puppies. One breeder stated it before - the progeny from the stud talked about were up and comming, but were too young to tell yet.

khill, thend, dogford4, kougar, timlc, beam-me-up-scotty, Could you at least try and be less obvious with your useless diatribe. If you don’t have anything valid to say, shut the hell up.

Nope, not here. I re-stated the question that was asked about dogs that are producing. What does producing mean to the group? There are a lot of nice dogs out there that are just starting in the first few years of their breeding career. You will not be able to talk about production from a dog until a few years down the line to see what is shown on the field. Kway was noted. So was Merlin. Progeny too young yet, but being watched. Not an issue. No one is stating at this time what they are producing And said what a stud dog owner to say the same thing. What is the confusion?

I agree with Merlin. Was actually planning on using him this month after speaking with Wallace, but he's got the worlds and 2 seminars so he basically wouldn't be avail until after the 23rd, which doesn't help me :( Search continues.

WOW, dajkzo Do you have any validation for any stud besides the stud that you obviously have a bias towards. There are many, many very well established studs who have bred mulitple times here in the states and abroad, deservingly so. I feel if a stud is truly a producer then there is no need to continuously advertise a particular stud like a cheap pizza ad, the breedings will come to producers. There have been a few studs mentioned on this topic, who continuously compete on the world stage, year after year, not just one fly by night invite, and none of these studs owners advertise them like an individual who has responded twice on this topic alone. So, I say to you, dajkzo, until your dog or your friend's dog has produced anything worthy, then you sir shut the hell up. The BSP champion is only two and a half years old, I am sure a two year old dog can achieve a sch1. Does any of Eagle or your dog's, if you have a dog, progeny achieve the sch1, yet? I think not.

Shelley Strohl

From Carol's last litter in Germany, (with Gabi)now 2 yrs. old: 4 already have SchH 1, SG in Youth classes, reasonable to expect V/Kkl. 1... more in training for titles, doing well with less experienced (youth) handlers, so they'll take a little longer to get titled. All his pups have good hips/elbows. No disqualifying faults. Its too soon to find them all on the database, unfortunately. Pix on my website (a work in progress). www.frauengarten.net I bought Gabi and have repeated the breeding mentioned above. Due date: 1st week of Nov. I am not charging an arm and a leg for them, either... ;) Shelley

Dogford4/Lee, etc, Are you going to post next as the_end or will you jump right to beam_me_up_scotty like the old days or maybe as timlc, or will you surprise us with a new name this week just to bash someone’s dog?

by KHill on 02 October 2006 - 19:10

dajkzo (also known as and posting as tcmits, frenzi) I am me and no one else. I think you are confused. No one is bashing anyone's dog. Shelley Strohl gave a great example of production from dog. Even some of the people that have stud dogs posted about have stated to wait and see on the puppies and young dogs from their males. That is why I asked the question of the group - what is "production" to them. And dajkzo, stick to the topic at hand and stop trying to turn this into another one of your mudfests. This is good topic and multiple opinions are good.
