Shelley Strohl, Congratulations on your wonderful dog, Carol, and his outstanding progeny. I really do appreciate a real stud, I believe the label stud is thrown around quite too often. From your comments about your dog's progeny and what they have accomplished at two years old, speaks volumnes. I am sure we will hear more from Carol's outstanding progeny as time passes.

Thanks for the kind words about Carol (call name "T" :) I hope there will be a lot more to add to his record. That will be determined by the opportunities he has here, breeding to quality females and getting his progeny into working homes... always a challenge in this country. Few know he's here, let alone what he produces. I need to promote him more, I know. He's only JUST turned 6 yrs. old. I hope more people will take advantage of what he brings to the breed. As you can tell. I am in love with this dog, just as I was with his great-uncle Pallo (May 1994-May 2006), also a wonderful producer largely overlooked as a stud. Time will tell... :) Shelley Strohl (aka: verruckte hunde)

I saw Carol at the 2005 NASS - definitely a nice looking dog! Glad to hear he is producing well too! As far as production being the qualifer for a "stud", I always look at the sire of my younger black male - the sire has only had about 6 litters - and mine the only 1 litter from a WL female, the rest showline or cross females - last I looked, 2 Police Dogs; at least 2 Schh3 dogs - females and both koered - and titled to schh3 between their 2nd and 3rd birthdays; 1 Schh2 Koered dog - will go to schh3; and about a half dozen or so with BHs, with a couple due to trial for Schh 1s in October in Ohio. Oldest are close to or just 4 years old, some of the BHs are just 2 years old.

Bashing by Lee Hough as per usual. I listed facts only about Eagle, and Hawk - the others who have listed their stud dogs in response to "opinions of top stud males on the east coast" have also listed facts about their dogs. Why start your normal bashing here? Let's keep it to facts. If anyone is interested in any of these dogs, I'm sure they will contact the owner. If not, then they won't. No big deal to me, either way. Eagle for one stands on his own merits, he has nothing to hide, if there are any questions just ask people who know him or I for the facts and stop guessing. molly

The point with lee and her many aliases is she just tries to bash one person and their breeding program, lets see what her current score card is kougar, the_end, khill, timlc, beam_me_up_scotty, dogford4, there might be few more, what she lacks in creativity she makes up for with being predictable and boring. Every time someone mentions a particular kennel, there is lee with one of her logins spewing the same old line.

I did not see bashing of dogs. I read where people posted about studs in the US. Mostly dogs that just have been breed surveyed in the past few years. Mostly dogs that have just started breeding and that are fairly new in their breeding program. I saw someone ask for clarification and someone else gave details and dogs that have been produced from their male (that was breed surveyed earlier and probably started the breeding career earlier) and what they are doing. Molly herself brought up a good point on another thread - the dogs from her male are young and upcoming. She said to watch for them in a few years. And production can mean doing work in another areas. Not just on the schutzhund field. What about SAR; actively working on a team and being consistently called out? Working and certified K9 in a police department?
