Hello. Can somebody tell me about SV Judge Wilhelm Scheld? Is he a breeder? If he is, what¿s the kennel name? He¿s coming to Finland next February and I want to know more about him.

You mean Wilfried Scheld? He is an SV körmeister. I can't recall his kennel name. He judged herding classes at the recent SV Sieger Show. I believe he also holds an official SV position for herding and judges herding trials. He is a very nice man and is friendly to working lines as well as to black and red show lines. My dogs have been shown under Scheld several times and have done quite well--received their first "V" ratings from him. Louise M. Penery riesenblut@sbcglobal.net

Mr. Scheld will also be judging a Herding Trial and conformation show in New Jersey on October 10-12th. Good to hear he is a fair judge. Mike

Excellent judge. I think you will be happy with him. When I asked him what he liked in a dog, aside from the usual stuff, he places a lot on the dogs presence and attitude. He speaks pretty good english. I speak no German. Good luck.

Very fair and good for working line dogs. Speaks very good English, is very nice and funny. I had requested him for the Mid-East regional since I knew him from shows in CA.

My two dogs were shown under Herr Scheld at the Mid East Regional and I could not be happier with the experience! I thought he was very fair, very approachable, pleasant and had a good sense of humor! He also talked to me when my female was stood up for the measurements and exam and paperwork. He knew what characteristics came from what ancestors and told me some interesting things about her family. It was amazing that he could look at the dog and tell me about the kennels that produced her grandparents and what she expressed from those kennels. I was very impressed as I have working lines and am very glad to have shown under him. Given the experience I had that day, I totally agree that he knows the working lines and is very fair with them! I am looking forward to koering my male with him next year!

We have shown under Herr Scheld several times and he is always a fun judge. Very informative, very helpful, he's particularly sensitive to junior and new handlers. In one class tht he judged, he stopped the class several times and explained what he was looking for and why he was doing what he was doing. That was very nice! Kougar's right, we had a wonderful day that day! JDN - USA
