Boy, All this FCI, WUSV, RSV200, GSDCA, GSDCA-WDA stuff has my head spinning. Is anyone on here really directly affected by how these organizations are affiliated with other organizations. I mean really, don't the majority of the members in each club just want to do what they can do with their dogs?

To get this discussion back on track, what does each organization offer it's members at this time?

hey OGBS, no that's not what I said. rather than go into a long useless dissertation, what part needs clarifying.

OGBS:"The WUSV gave the 2013 IPO Championship to the GSDCA because it is the 100th anniversary of the GSDCA. It had originally been given to another country. It was a kind, but, regretted gesture.
I hope the GSDCA/WDA gets its act together. The event is less than a year away. It will be an embarrassment to the entire GSD community in the U.S. if they don't.
I wonder if the people running the event have secured tracking grounds yet? I wonder if they have even thought to look yet? Have they found a suitable stadium to use in Philly yet?
Do they have blocks of hotels near the stadium secured for the competitors yet? Have they found suitable places for the competitors to train for the 10-14 days prior to the event? Have they even thought to???
I could go on and on.
My guess is that the answer is no because most of the people in charge of running this event have never even attempted to train a dog like those they will be hosting in less than a year.
It's an f'n joke!!!"

My understanding is that very little has been done. I also understand from German judges that the Germans are very worried about GSDCA-WDA having a clue about putting on a WUSV Championship.1 There is a website that consists only of a photo of the stadium in Chester, PA,  purportedly scheduled for the WUSV.  Personally, I don't believe that this professional soccer stadium will be the actual venue. NOTHING  else about the event or the arrangements on the website (at least since I looked a week or so ago).   Heck, for some reason, it is even scheduled for the wrong week--the WUSV has always been the first weekend in October.  2013 is scheduled, according to the website, for the second week, instead.   My question:  have any of the people on the committee ever even attended a club trial?

I am going to set aside time to attend, despite any misgivings; I missed the  Hindenburg.

1  Admittedly, the WUSV in Boston was one less-than-stellar event.  Hopefully, WDA learned from the mistakes of others.  But, I bet not.

Nia/Mystere,
You know they do have something called working-dog.eu that can give you all the dates.   The WUSV in Cinn was held on the 2nd weekend as a matter of fact many are held on the 2nd week,  AS A MATTER OF FACT, (You Tree Hog) the window is the first or second week of Oct.

Boston was not just less than steller, it was the worst WUSV ever!  They gave UScA anotlher chance!  GSDCA-WDA have their chance to screw it up as well.  Why should you care or anyone else care that hate GSDCA-WDA?  According to you and the other haters it will be the end of GSDCA-WDA,  is that not what you want?  You are an official with UScA don't you have a organization to run?    GSDCA-WDA officials are not on here preaching hate as a matter of fact they never mention UScA unless they have something to do with them, like the qualification trial...SOMETHING YOU WILL NEVER BE IN!

Wallace,

Pretty malicious post for a public forum; not cool for my two cents worth....

One point you make is well taken:  We ALL need to take part in and improve our own organizations and quit worrying about everyone else.

Dot, period.

Also to your point regarding WDA leadership, it is only on an exceedingly rare occasions that I hear anyone within UScA's leadership discussing the WDA..  It would appear from your post that both board's are taking care of the important stuff; namely the needs of their respective organizations.

Good on them both....

I resepct Wallace Payne for his accomplishments in the breed. BUT the language used in the above post is uncalled for !.  If Nia,s information is wrong then there is a point to make but not at the price of  personnel attack.

That has been a long time coming, and the fact that it came from such a well respected and ACCOMPLISHED entity in the Schutzhund community should emphasize that.

Oh my!!  I don't think I have ever posted on this forum.  Just usually peruse it for comic relief.  I am not a member of UScA or WDA.  Just want to train my dogs.  I enjoy conversations with members of both factions, and just listen when members start talking about the politics of their own or the competing organization.  The post by Nia/Mystere is not a helpful one, and only shows that she has not had any conversations with the members of the committee who are planning the WDA.  There are many plans in place, including hotel blocks, parking, tracking, electronics, and other ideas that are being worked through.  Some of the committee were in attendance at Steyr and were taking notes on how to avoid problems that were obvious at that venue.  Instead of b^&%$ing on a web site and writing a post that comes through with an obvious desire to see a failure, and then apparently vowing to be there so you can see for yourself a "Hindenburg", why don't you get over yourself and call the organizing committee to offer your wonderful words of wisdom and help them avoid the pitfalls you are so sure they will stumble in?  Maybe that would be something positive and provide an olive branch to begin the process of working together "for the betterment of the breed".  Terri
