It's funny when people think they are different than those they're trying to belittle

Here we go again...you like the WDA so much ...blah blah blah...I've never been a member of the WDA...it's never been about which is better or worse it boiled down to limiting my choices as to whom I may belong if I choose to remain a member of the USCA. That little snafu rests solely on the shoulders of the USCA...not the WDA.  For 20 plus years off and on I paid money to the USCA, they took it and used it for things I have no interest that applies directly to the GSD ...so be it...I can live when they changed the rules that USCA judges had to title a GSD to qualify for the program, I can deal with the removal or the NA and HOT and combining the two to make the WDC,  I took it in stride when the USCA decided to go from pretty much a schutzhund organization to wanting to hold the purse strings to that and now be the sole guardian of the GSD in the US in their opinion...once the JA amendment was instituted that was the last straw for me as an alternate breed owner.and even then I gave it a couple of years to try and get resolved...first year no quorum...this year no time but the feeling was it would have stood...the *feeling*...really?

I would like to know the percentage of GSD,s to alternate breeds in UScA ? 5 years ago before this all started?

2009   JA [sic]  Passed/Instituted (Iowa)

2010 (Carson City)  one proposed amendment rescinding JA[sic] was withdrawn.  Another proposal to limit it to officers, judges, etc.  was rejected.

2011 No quorum

2012  proposal limiting withdrawn.

wow  I really don't understand why everyone is so emotional about all this.  If you don't like the WDA that is your right, no harm no foul.  but why attack it?  it doesn't stand in opposition to it.  The Kennel that I get my dogs from,  (who also have my loyalties) are WDA.  all the people associated with the WDA that I have met I hold in high regard. I have not met Mr. Payne but I'm sure I will at the end of January.  we know  people in common, not everybody agrees with all his methods but no one denies his accomplishments.  I look forward to meeting people at every show and trial I go to.  Maybe I just see the good in folks but I haven't met a bad one yet.  and I'm sure if I was associated with the USCA I would probably feel the same.  I'm staying with the WDA because that is where my dogs litter mates and kennel group are.

It was always "withdrawn," Keith.  The minutes for the  2010 GBM reflect that.   The minutes for the 2012 will, as well.  I have no idea where you get your information, as I have always stated that it was withdrawn, with respect to Nashville.  And before you even bother trying to challenge that, I am the one who withdrew it.

Every candidate who was asked questions prior to the actual balloting was asked about the JA [sic].  Each  expressed his/her support for the JA [sic].

The WUSV is more than 10 months away.  The website for the WUSV2012 did not have information posted aside from tourist info on Streyr until spring or early summer.  Anything can happen in 10 months time.  There could be a hurricane in September that floods the venue causing last minute changes in plans.  For anyone who is concerned about hotel reservations, I suggest the Budget Inn in Lakehurst, NJ.  Not exactly in Chester, but you can at least see the historic site of the Hindenburg while you are there.

Mystere, I'm guessing that because you withdrew it you were the one who proposed limiting or rescinding the JA.
Through meeting members and reading posts on this forum I gather that a large majority of UScA members do not agree with the SV's current vision of the GSD .It makes me wonder why the UScA would care to seek an end to the relationship between the GSDCA and the SV. I also wonder if the intent of the JA was to separate into two camps the adherents of different visions of the breed, the WDA sticking with the SV dog and the UScA with a different dog ? We keep hearing from those in the UScA hierarchy that we need to decide, decide what? I thought we both believed in the SV standard.

Bob, I pretty much agree with you 100% on what the GSD  should be. But as far as you calling some one on language, you are one of the poorest here. Guess it is only offensive to you when your pig is the one getting kicked.

Anyone with a different opinion from you needs to be ready for some serious verbal abuse. I really did not notice that your calling folks pu**ies was gender specific Nor do I understand that with your concern for the opposite sex, that you do not understand that this is a derogatory remark for women..

Anyway, best to you. As far as Mystere, I can only relate what my granddad used to say: "boy, if you get in a turd tossing contest, you better like the smell of shit." and she has been tossing these turds at WDA since I have been here. And I'll take Wallace's opinion on anything GSD related over anything here I have seen so far.

best to all,

Rik Atchley
