I agree Darcy.  I didn't come here to make it about the breeder, but rather for Brix.  I feel that this boy sure needs that home which helps him grow and enjoy his new family as much as they do him. although every dog deserves that type of home

ghostly, it's a relief to know that you'll be his safety net if necessary. What kind of time frame is involved to get him rehomed?  I'll pass the word around up here in NE Michigan...  I misread your initial post, thought it said he DID have dominance issues with dogs other than the male he was raised with...been a long couple of days.  Do you know how he is with small breed dogs, or with cats?

I don't know how he is with cats but he was raised with 2 little dogs and I was told he was really careful around them not to step all over them. But he hasn't ever been exposed to children, but I think he could be good with them given the right structure at the beginning. As for time frame I have no idea as to how long until she plans on moving.

If he's OK with little dogs, that's a big plus, and he's more likely to be OK with cats.  I'll pass the word up here.

Chuck, when you say he took a bit to warm up to you, what do you mean? How did he behave? Aggressive or just aloof? As much detail as possible is helpful when trying to rehome a mature adult.

Anyone talk to Melissa?  I think she takes high drive dogs.

I think if anyone would like to know why kelly "can't" take Brix back they should email and ask her. I'm sure she'd be glad to tell you.

Oh, Diane! How silly. What fun would it be to just ask? It's way more exciting to surmise on the internet!
