kipka, I sure hope that what you've heard is the full extent of it, and it wasn't a scene similar to Youngstown...praying that trixx' boy is safe and sound at the shelter, and she'll be reunited with him soon.

by joanro on 03 December 2012 - 23:12

MF! Why is this allowed to happen? People taking other's dogs in for training should be under the microscope! And by the authorities, who ever that is.
Hope Trixx' dog is ok, and that the "trainer" gets what's coming to him....although the laws seem to be stacked in the favor of the scum in this country.

joan, it's part of the same problem we have with breeding of dogs--we don't make it difficult enough to make the grifters turn to something that's easier yet just as lucrative.  Ditto for the dog 'trainer' occupation--anyone can have a business card printed up and call themselves a trainer, take other people's dogs and do what they will with them, and there's little penalty.

Anyone know if Nitro's law in Ohio was renewed back in 2011?

Trixx I don't know you but I'm sorry for you.  I hope everything works out.

kipka...now you've got me wondering.  What type of 'event' have you heard tell of? PM if you'd rather not post it....

J Basler

With some of these X cons out their doing dog training makes me sick. I would never ever send my GSD to anyone heck, i wouldn't send a chicken to be trained by them.
Oh and yea you can be a convicted felon and still get a license to train dogs so really really do your research people.

by hexe on 04 December 2012 - 00:12

JBasler-- license? Who needs a stinkin' license?

EuroShepherd

there is no license to train dogs.  yes there are certificates...but they are not required.

Kipka, what did you hear?  I hadn't heard anything, I would like to know since I live in the general area.

He just posted this lost dog on facebook TONIGHT, asking for help finding the dog, and a reward.  So it took him 6 days to start looking via internet - has he been out physically looking for the dog?  making phone calls?  posting flyers?  Somehow I doubt it.  The whole thing stinks.  This "lost dog" story was what  he came up with when the owner started demanding answers to where her dog is.   How long ago was it when he told the police he didn't have the dog?

I agree, Molly.  Not buying this story for a second.  Something else is afoot, and I just hope that trixx can get across several states and into Columbus ASAP to find out what's really going on.
