What exactly is the DM Test?

Bhaugh

So then my question to you Cowboy70 is why is this dog being bred before his hips have passed? A almost 7 yo dog without hip scores is a HUGE red flag for me and I didnt see any other dogs showing permanent hip scores. Why did they shave him? Any coat can be combed out. If it was so bad...why......again red flag!  "Wide muscled head and snout rarely found outside pure Czeck or DDR lines" This just isnt true...red flag..... The films posted on Orry are deceivable since the site states he is not 2 (birthday May 2011 is this correct?) so how can be have been deemed OFA good if he isnt old enough for a permanent hip score? The site should state then state the films are OFA Prelim. Honestly is the best policy for perspective buyers. What about elbow scores? The back is only as good as the front. So your comment about criticizing other people's dogs is true. For me they made this web site to sell dogs. If the dogs far exceed the site, they sure havent shown it. We can only base opinions on what we see. There are better breeders out there and I for one would keep looking.

If you want to train PPD ... WE SUPPORT YOU. I would suggest other breeders to get you where you need to go. There is a thread here posted by Michael about getting a PPD. He actually went to 3 breeders and gave his findings. He thread is straightforward and honest. Jump over to that and see what was said. It may help you to find the perfect match.

The dog posted as my avatar, a foster dog Im funding for, has bad hips. They will go out before he ever takes his last breath. Its really sad because he is a really nice dog. Too bad whoever bred him didnt give a crap about hips.

by cowboy70 on 30 December 2012 - 05:12

@Bhaugh. So does bad hips mean the dogs will eventually go lame or become cripple in their rear ends?

by cowboy70 on 30 December 2012 - 06:12

@Bhaugh. Just went back on site my female is a full sister to Orry but from the breeding immediately after him! Her prey drive is probably three times more than his is on the video and I also do realize that prey drive doesn't necessarily mean she would have the same intensity in defense or fight drive! And no Orry definitely isn't two yet I don't think! There's some new stuff on the site let me look closer thanks!

Ive never had good success with dogs and bad hips. Maybe others can comment on dogs who have done better. Why put a dog through the pain to work? Thats just cruel

I'm confused, if titles don't matter in your breeding place cowboy,
why do you immediatley throw out the names of the very accomplished
dogs way back in their pedigrees
?

It's so ironic how all these people that think titles don't matter are the
loudest when it comes to name dropping of dogs that are titled somewhere
back in their dogs pedigree's, (usually 3-5 generations back).

Or better yet, some will blather on endlessly about their 'V rated SchH__' dog,
yet other titled dogs are useless and unbreedworthy  Shades Smile

You will also see a similar pattern when it comes to them justifying the
breeding of dogs with no minimal health clearances, and they will
usually go a step further to declare that 'OFA SUCKS', at least  they
will say that until they get a dog that goes OFA Excellent  Roll eyes
