I have many I can share but here's just a few of my performing /sled dogs.  All entire males.  Also a couple more pics of my liberty horse and bull acct.  When the Brahma was 3 yearws old he weighed in at 1800 pounds, was 2000 by the time he was a six year old in these pictures.  The paint horse is 15 hands tall but is dwarfed by the bull who was 17 hands at his back, not the hump.

Anyone thinks it's easy to run team of  male dogs on a wheeled jig in a dirt ring should try it. It's not easy.  The bull, horses, all the other stuff, well all I can say is - WOW!!

Thank you, every body. I'm glad to share this treasured part of my life with all who appreciate it. I have much to be grateful for, especially being able to fulfill my child hood dreams....I said I wanted to be a horse when I grew up (so young at the time, I didn't know what the question meant, plus I'd never even seen a horse, yet) and spending my childhood days on Key Largo ( in the 50's), pretending to be a dog, following a resident pack of feral dogs through the the mangroves....... guess I was imprinted to think like a dog. Didn't do much for developing social skills, but that was not a priority...I wanted to be a dog or horse.
Being able to earn a living with my animals allowed me to live with them, spending twenty four hours a day with them. I still spend all my time with them, just don't go on the road for months at a time any more.

very first time I tried sledding I ended up wrapped in a tree..... I did not know I needed a lead dog..I was 13 and very naive.

Awesome pictures! Great memories!

Dog driving is fun, but it can be dangerous too Wink Smile

I think Joanro has had the most interesting life of anyone I know. I'm glad she's finally decided to share some of it with us.
