@steve1 I had to train a fish, rat and a chicken, in that order, to be allowed to work with primates directly.  The sequence was spread over three semesters of coursework and its no different than your homing pigeon example.  Maybe even harder because chicken's, fish and rats aren't bred to be anything but food or lab animals.

I'll repeat again, were are not likely competing in the same venues.  Read between the lines, what do you think I meant when I said the following:

Not all training is done in the same venue, thats just more ignorance coming from you.  Is a IPO3 more difficult than a UDX?  How about a HGH versus an HCH?  Do you know which is more prestigious? I sure as heck won't claim such.

Do you know what a UDX and HCH are?

I'm out of this pissing match, we aren't talking about Operant Conditioning anymore and haven't been since page 2.  Good job, steve1, you win, nobody's going to post this information on the web for FREE afterall.  So people whom were actually interested in getting more info on Operant Conditioning, useable in dog training will now have to search elsewhere, when they could have simply gotten info right here, available for future web searches.  Feel free to continue your monologue about "Dr Doolittle Animal Whisperers" and "the good old days when we did things, a certain way".  Why move forward when we have 65 years to look back on and dig through, from a time when the trainers had more time to actually work with their dogs during the DAY, getting to know them better personally; as opposed to what we do now, a few hours a day, every couple of days, during the workweek and weekends. Sure with all that FREE time people have on their hands these days, we have PLENTY of leisure time to do things EXACTLY the way they did 30+ years ago.  Who needs science, we've got steve1 and training methods that go back to when people worked the land themselves.  What a fool I've been, since these situations are PERFECTLY interchangeable.  In fact I should just start churning my own butter too!!!

Yes, that is the easiest thing in the world to jack it in, I have already said in my last post it is just talk on a forum, there are no winners or losers for it really means nothing? you will go on doing things your way as i will mine and so will everyone else on the Forum unless they are not doing any good, then perhaps they will try different things, Still i grant you one thing, you are a computer piss taker for want of a better word, words you have said on here but would you have the balls to say them face to face, i doubt it very much, and it is your theories that you push so much is the way to go, simply because you have nothing in that head of yours but your way and they are better and beyond every other simple proven training system, not only in dogs but all things i can bring a wild fox cub and its parents to come to me and eat from my hands i can do the same with  badgers, i do not use theories to do that, but you fail to understand or do not want to know anything but your own ways not once have you asked how that alone tells us everything a one track mind is all you have,

 vk4gsd
You post the biggest amount of rubbish that has ever been put on this forum, You get helpers or whatever they claim to be to work with you then you call them out on a forum calling them all the names under the sun, What a pity you did not give out your name and there names so if they read these letters then they can stick up for themselves. But you do it the cowards way? then you talk about your dogs savaging another through the fencing of YOUR property which should be safe for your dogs inside and any other living thing outside but certainly does not seem to be so; Then you go on to say that you want to put your dogs in kennels but they cannot be touched or approached by another human and to throw the food in. i then asked you twice if i or any other person comes to your property, could they come in after you have commanded your dogs to down off leash do our business and leave okay, the dogs can get up and be inquisitive but that is all. YOU have not answered the question. So i guess the answer is NO the dogs would not obey your command to down,  that means that no person could come into your property with you there with your dogs and be safe unless the dogs were tethered or confined.
and you put all this stuff on this forum when you cannot even control your dogs in the basic form of obedience Man you are a bloody joke, vk4gsd do not bother to reply now i would not believe a word you say.
I rest my case win or lose one thing is for sure we have some who certainly think they are above others and the way one writes not only that but thinks they are above others and in a different class. shows the calibere of that person to a T
