With nerves like these, I don't see how she made it to a schutzhund 2 level dog. And why anyone would say that the dog had a good stable temperament but didn't like strangers, but warms up quickly. The dog has been in a new home for a month when this video was shot. Poor dog. A bad breeder to stay away from, 3500 for a sch 2 bitch for breeding and this is what she got. And the previous owner refuses to make things right. I feel bad for the dog.

Was this not posted here already 2 - 3 weeks ago? Was the video removed? (Or did I see it somewhere else?)

If the buyer of the dog is the poster of the video, then this person has plenty of experience to know what they are buying, and not just buy dogs based on fancy pedigree. We all know that there are tons of scammers out there, and that there are a lot of risks at buying dogs sight-unseen from overseas.  I think that making a 10 min video to post on discussion forums is just going for drama.

Agreed, Guppyfry. I posted something similar last night when I saw the other thread, which is gone now. Eichenluft ought to know that a good SchH2, V rated bitch from good showlines is not attainable for $3500, generally speaking, unless there is a problem of some sort, either with the dog or the situation.

When people try to buy cheap dogs for breeding, they tend to get burned.

I agree if the buyer is the poster, they should have known better, but this should also be posted far and wide for all those others that don't.  When you don't get involved, when you don't take the time, when you just go by other's words, when you fall in love with pedigrees and what "should be" and all that other unimportant BS, this is what you get.  Anyone that has spent more than 10 minutes looking at dogs can see this dog is not stable, sure or anything remotely desirable in a breeding dog, or simple companion dog.

I for one, think its a great video to someone who buys dogs, sight unseen, that this could happen and if you buy enough dogs this way, will most likely get just this. Sad the seller wont stand behind what she sold, but are we really surprised by all that we read here. Personally I'd like to know who it is so I can put them on the dud list and not refer to them.

I´d like to know if this female has been in a kennel like this before...
Not excusing her behavior, but maybe she was raised in a " normal " environment, bonded to somebody...

The environment right now doesn´t seem to help.

What Susie said.

normal environment or not, I'd expect any dog with even remotely decent nerves to adjust better than that.  Maybe not in the first 10 minutes but after a month? and it's been my experience if you take a dog living in a house, put it in a kennel and then have people come by, they lose their minds trying to get some attention, not act out of their mind trying to avoid it.  and remember, it's a "breeding" dog.  I'd expect better out of a neutered companion animal.

But again, she should have known better, so I don't feel sorry for her in the least.  Maybe she'll be able to unload this one to another freak dog abuser like she has in the past.  I'm sure her first course of action is to get her money back, and when she can't, she'll unload it to someone just as unscrupulous  such as a man that will remain unnamed, but i'm sure any regular reader knows exactly who i'm talking about.

The dog is clearly not breeding quality and weak temperament, but I also don't think a kennel of feces is the best environment for a softer dog.  I had a GSD, soft temperament, weak nerves, that acted exactly the same way in a kennel, and the *longer* I had to leave her (like at a boarding place) the worse she became so I am not surprised that the dog hasn't just managed to adjust after a month.  My dog did much better in the house with me.  In a kennel she would not only act paranoid like this dog but also spin obsessively and chew herself raw.  Obviously not a dog for breeding in either case but for some dogs, a kennel is just not the right place to put them and expect them to get over it.  This dog should go to someone willing to work quite extensively with her and probably keep her inside, or be put down. Her quality of life seems very poor.  She's not going to serve the purpose for which she was bought.

Totally agree, VKGSDs. I thought the kennel was disgusting, and the fact that she actually thought nothing of it and posted it on youtube is rather disturbing...that tells me it's like that all the time and she's desensitized to it (Eichenluft, the videographer, not the poor dog). My dogs wouldn't act like that in a kennel, BUT they wouldn't be happy, either. They're accustomed to a good amount of house time. They would be more obnoxious, possibly destructive, likely aggressive....certainly not shy, but if the poor dog was used to a nice home and is a softer dog without a lot of confidence, that environment may be just too overwhelming for her. Not to say she's a breeding candidate, but seriously....$3500??? Really??? LMAO. Nice try at getting a cheap dog to pump out puppies and pay for itself 100x over. Try putting a "1" in front of that number for a truly sound V rated, SchH2 bitch, or at least double what was paid, dependent upon lineage and age. Can you say "quick profit?"

Serves her right (again, I mean the videographer/owner, NOT the poor dog!) Have a heart; stop taping the dog and her multiple piles of feces and get her into the house and be nice to her for God's sake. You're not going to breed her (we hope...) so get her into a home that will treat her right!
