"She is NOT  'poor dog, poor Farah.'  She is loved and has a good
home here. "

But you were trying to sell her anyway, LTS.

PLEASE do the right thing, let Jenni and Lady Frost work out a plan
with you to pick Farah up and rehome her.  Like Jenni says, there
are plenty of us here to witness what  has been promised.  It is time
to stop this whole argument and THINK FIRST ABOUT THE DOG'S
LONG-TERM WELFARE.  Thank you.

by Blitzen on 02 October 2013 - 10:10

Does this remind anyone else of a thread a few years back where that owner opted to put down his dog rather than allow some posters here to pay to bring him from Belgium so he could live out his life in peace? We were even treated to a graphic description of how he pushed the plunger to dispense the lethal solution into his dog's vein while he made his kid watch. Then we were shown photos of the autopsy.

This may not be as graphic or cruel, but it's every bit as troubling to people like LF,Jen, et al who are offering to give Farah a forever home. It's  now time for LTH and Cesna to step up to the plate, cut the crap, stop thinking of themselves and their wallets and do the right thing. Let someone have this dog who really wants her as a dog, not as a puppy machine.

Again, LTS, you can't "sell" that dog if those are her hip xrays. If you're concerned that someone won't believe you about Cesna selling her to you knowing she has bad hips, we can discuss getting her re-xrayed, verified by unbiased 3rd party, and post them. LF would likely do the same. She's already told me she'll come get her, and I trust her enough to keep Farah until then. If there is some reason (besides stubbornness) that you wouldn't want LF to have her, I can look for a local home for her. She's a pretty girl, sounds as if she's a nice girl, and I have people asking me all the time for pets I don't have available. I'm quite sure we could combine resources and get her a great home with someone willing to take care of her somewhat special needs. She has bad hips but can still have a great life, WITH THE RIGHT CARE and an understanding owner.

I actually just got a text from someone who has a Capri grandpup and is looking for a female for a pet and companion for her male. She has 2 young boys. Provided Farah is ok w/other dogs and children, I think she'd be quite interested. She is very proactive on health topics and I can promise she'd receive excellent food and healthcare.

I found a home for the dog that these hips belong to when the owner was unable. He was sound and healthy and doing great with proper care for quite a few years after these were taken.

Idiots breeding weak dogs = this..

Cesna

by Cesna on 02 October 2013 - 23:10

Sorry...I have a new baby so, have had to spoil him rather than continue with this thread...

I am tired of the soap opera and tired of the threats cast out by Donna.....and now every dog I own will get xrayed as they get older so that I know what is always going on in the joints...as well as blood draws...

I will pay $500 to get the dog to Lady Frost..  If Farah comes back to me, she would not be passed around...I have family that love my dogs..  And I have adopted out many dogs to loving, caring families...  Donna, you keep every penny you got for her puppies and go from there..

I talked extensively to my veterinarians, who in turn talked to CSU teaching hospital..  There are auto-immune disease which will do this to any joint....We found her chip, and if you don't believe me, ask Herr Konig, her breeder.  Being an SV judge, he sent me her first set of prelims; I did her second....And both sets were very similar to each other..  If Farah does in deed have osteo-arthritis (which will change the joint conformation in a short amount of time) or rheumatoid arthritis (which disfigure joints and bones), she could have to be on an anti-inflamatory and joint lubrication...

LF, if you are willing, please send me your info and I will personally send you the money to help with things...

Oh, how nice, if LF can get her sent to her directly, that would be even better. If there's a problem, I will still take her and get her to the airport or keep her for LF to pick up if she wants to drive.

I just can't figure something out. Here you say you need to make room for another female that can earn her keep. But I see you have all your dogs up for sale yet again because you have a bad back.( it's on your facebook page) And you don't  even mention that Farah has bad hips just that she is being sold as a companion. You do mention she is show rated and has her atts.I think out of  all the dogs you mention in your post only one has a hip rating (ghost) And you are always saying you love your dogs.I really hope you sell them all so they can be loved and have a stable life.

I haven't been on here in awhile. Thought I would see what was up. When I originally posted this, I had no doubts to what LTS was up to. I read in the beginning of this thread that I might have been a bit presumptuous with my post. I didn't think so then and I certainly don't now. One thing I have learned by being on this board over the years is that people don't change and their history doesn't either.

Right now as I type, I can see my 10yo shelter dog throw away sleeping. Nice WSL dog. Has a good heart. Would defend me to the end. Thrown away like trash because for whatever reason he just wasn't good enough. People like LTS make me sick. Yes there are many out there like her. Always have been always will. It's the shady side of the dog world. I seem to have met a few like her over the past couple of years. Use a dog to improve lines of what they have, then dump the dog. Kennels may even get a name after a few years of good lines, all at the cost of the dogs dumped along the way. It's pathetic and sad!

I, for one, know all I need to LTS. If I lived near you, I would probably put signs out to warn buyers of your practices and to stay clear. YOU ARE the shady side of the dog world. You create drama just for the sake of it. You don't xray BEFORE the dog is bred then boo hoo when the dog doesn't pass. IMO your nothing more than a glorified byb. If you really wanted what was best for this gal, you would SPAY HER YOURSELF. Suck it up and actually do the right thing for the dog. Spay contracts are for people too lazy and cheap to the job themselves. Take up Jenns offer to place the dog. I'm sure someone would love to have a dog who will love them back, not just be an ATM. Please do us all a HUGE FAVOR and pick a different species to fuck up!. Maybe rats or hamsters.

I forgot to add why I posted this in the first place. After all the frickin drama and how much you say you love the dog, the end result is the same. The dog, for whatever reason just isn't good enough to even keep as a loving PET. Anyone who sells to you is a bigger fool than you!

Rather than starting another thread, thought I would pass my good news here and it is on the subject of doing the right thing. Bec and I had a dog--some of you might remember VooDoo and she came up a mild. So I am about 99% sure that she has a forever home. The man had called me earlier about a puppy but mentioned his very active mom might be interested in a younger dog vs a puppy. Anyway our agreement is the adopter will go and meet Voo and talk to Bec a lot and then if it is a go, I will pick her up and take her to my vet for rabies and spaying and they can pick her up there and pay the vet bill. I am not in this to make money--I want her to have a real HOME--FOREVER--I feel some of her hip problems could have been caused by other homes we tried her in. Which both unfortunately turned out to be dingbats and the dog suffered for it.
Anyway my point is LTS I know you tried but too many things came out and then when you freely admitted the money thing according to hubby then I just got kind of sickened. Goddamit do the right thing, get her spayed and find her a home......................
