I have an old gentleman who lost his wife and then his dog of old age. He is in dire need of a companion dog. I don't have anything for him, maybe Farah would be the one for him. If not, anyone reading this, who might have a GSD for this lonely gentleman, please PM me.

Oh, I'm familiar rtdmmcintyre. This isn't the first rodeo, I know.  I don't really care about all that. I just feel badly for the dog, and generally, dogs who are with that type buyer/seller seem to get stuck in a rut and they go round and round getting recycled. I'd like to get her out of that, break the cycle, not try to sell her as something to make money off of, and find her a good family who appreciates a well-bred GSD that may not be "perfect" enough for breeding.

Joan, what's his budget and does it have to be a GSD? I don't have anything terribly docile right now, but got a few irons in the fire.

Hey, Jenni. We didn't talk money limits, but I had a dog here that was too young and rambunctious for an older man, adoption fee, to cover spay or neuter of 2 or 3 hundred I would think. He has had about six GSDs in in life time, so that's his breed.

As the Universe is my witness, I cannot believe I'm defending LTS again, but we do not presently have complete information.  Were the films submitted to the SV, and fail? Were they submitted and rated an NZ, which OFA equates with mild dysplasia? Were they submitted to OFA and failed? Were they submitted to ANYONE at all?  I want to hear what LTS has to say--and yes, I know she's reading this, just as I know that it wouldn't have mattered if she had omitted everything from the ad save for the fact that the dog was a female GSD and her contact info, there still would have been discussion here, and there still would be shade thrown.  I believe that LTS  IS  trying to improve her program--she did just have two of her breeding dogs OFA'd, which none of us can deny is a significant change for her.  Let's see what the rest of the story is, why don't we?

Forgot to say, he wants a house dog, will have a 20 x 30 pen under the deck with direct access to the house. So he wants one house broke and comfortable hanging out in the house with him.

Hexe, I don't care what the rest of the story is, personally. I stay out of that crap for the most part. I don't know what's going on besides the ad, stating she needs her gone because she needs room for another female, which is why I offered to take the dog and find her a great home- Donna can get a breedworthy female and Farah can get a great home w/no time limit imposed to find it. I have no dog limit here, nor are my girls dog aggressive. I didn't say Donna should be arrested; I said I'd help out and take the dog. I just don't think the dogs find the best homes under duress.

I didn't mean to step on anyones toes.  I just try to learn from others mistakes and thought others might feel the same way too.  I guess that can be chalked up as my mistake.  I need to keep my mouth shut and what ever happens, happens

Jenni, wasn't referring to your post, since yours is an offer to help and nothing more.  Thumbs Up

Reggie, I've been extremely harsh on LTS myself, and make no apologies for having done so, but I'd hate to see this turn into a hanging thread when we don't even have all of the information, and she's been making a sincere effort to do things the right way. I agree with you that people only change if THEY want to do so, and most people don't want to.  So far, it looks like LTS may be one of the exceptions...and there always are some exceptions to every rule.

What´s wrong in this special case?

LTS bought a female for BREEDING. This female doesn´t seem to get the A-stamp.
Now she is looking for a forever home for this girl INSTEAD OF BREEDING HER, ready to loose some money.

I don´t like people buying and selling dogs like cars, but it´s not forbidden.
A lot of you bought and sold dogs, too.
In this case I´d blame the FORMER owner, who bred this female WITHOUT A-stamp and WITHOUT registration...
