Hexe, I got it. I agree that starting a thread without the full story is a bit presumptuous at best. There is no crime in selling a pet to make room for a breeding animal if that's what you'd intended to buy in the first place. And, good for LTS if she truly is losing out because the dog's hip status was misrepresented and she's genuinely trying to improve. I do feel for the dog, though, as when sellers are the revolving door type, often the dog gets the short end of the stick.

I'd like to see these xrays, myself. Curious.

Susie, Love thy shepherd also bred farah.  LTS bred the dog to ghost with out doing any X-rays or health checks.  I feel sorry for the people that bought those pups, but hey buyer beware.  Now, the dog won't pass and the cat is out of the bag and the dog is being passed around again.  I hope the dog finds a nice home and LTS finds a new hobby / occupation.

Slam, we don't know that the dog's hips DIDN'T pass evaluation--right now, we only know that the ad says they 'WON'T pass OFA', which could very well mean they went NZ under SV, and LTS thinks that wouldn't pass OFA...but those with more experience in the whole hip certification thing know that NZ under SV doesn't always equal 'mildly dysplastic' under OFA.

It's just such a shame that this 3 year old dog is heading for her 4th home already.  Shades of that other bitch, Gritt.  And people wonder why I'm not against the idea of requiring anybody who breeds even a single litter having to pay a significant breeder's licensing fee annually.

On August 28, 2013 Farah's xrays were "on the way to the SV". Has anyone else ever received an SV evaluation in less than a month?

Thank you, Slam. I missed that point....
I really hope that this female does find a forever home now, NO dog deserves this.
( One of the main reasons, why I don´t like "breeders" that much...)

Blitzen, don't know how long it takes, as I've never gone that route. I'm trying to give benefit of the doubt for the moment...not just to LTS, but to the previous seller, Adel Haus, as well.

I am going to speak of this only once... Farrah had X-rays at the age of 16 months.... All of the information for the dog (microchip, sz number, ext) was verified and put on the plates. At the time, there was no concern and all was ready to send over for the a-stamp... I did not send anything because of the situation I was in...and at that time, they X-rays were very similar to the prelims that were done in Germany by her breeder right before coming to the USA... I gave the films to Donna, and yes, the films were still valid, my vet just had to sign a document stating that the dog was not sedated and that the microchip was verified, along with the date the films were taken. I know the X-rays and what the films had shown.. I was even the one who helped hold the dog for the films.

I sold the dog for a reasonable price. Donna got her AKC paperwork, and I got the paperwork that I needed... I offered Donna to buy the dog back ... She refused...

My vet team, friends in Germany and others saw the films that I had taken of Farrah and there was no concern...

i realize Donna wanted to improve her program... Having litters from dogs with no films done at all was a risk and she got lucky...

I  still willing to buy Farrah back as the money was not the case in Farrah's sale... I offered once, and she refused... And I will continue to offer... But will not tolerate personal threats...

wow...i read the 2012 thread when it all started.....all i can say is...Cesna you are either crazy or must really love this dog if you are willing to do a repeat sh*t of a transaction with he same person...

It has been taking 2 months to get results from the SV. It used to take 4 + months a few years ago.

If they are sent close to the Sieger show I would expect more of a hold up. If they are sent close to Christmas, again a hold up as I believe the SV is closed for a couple of weeks for the holidays.

No, I'm not crazy, I just want the insanity to stop...  I am so tired of this topic as the sale was a nightmare and now I am receiving private, personal threats, which is crazy!!!   I co-owned Farah with a German friend of mine...just not on the paperwork.  It was me that decided to get out of the co-ownership and at that time I was told to sell the dog at any price that I wanted to set... Farah is a nice female, but was not the quality as the rest of the other German Shepherds in my home.  I have always been clear about that..  After the sale of the dog, I had many people tell me that I would regret the transaction with that particular buyer....They were right...

I think that any person in my position would do the same.  Get the dog out of that situation and move on... To end the nightmare!!!

And just for everyone's information, at the time of the sale, the buyer only asked if I would guarantee that Farah was reproductively sound. That is it...

I am done with the topic...It has been a burr in my side that keeps festering and festering....  I have bigger and better things to do with my life, my children, my dogs and much more, than to keep dealing with this issue...
