Susie you make me laugh.
They are the folks that do not want anything to happen to anything that lives. Trees, rabbits, rats,  ect ect ect. They are people who believe their opinions are facts and are intolerant to any and everyone who disagree.

Thank you! Red Smile Animal rights activists! There are A LOT OF THEM in Europe!
Right now PETA is trying to enforce the law against e-collars in Europe, supported by Jantie, causing a lot of trouble within the sports world.

first off, intolerance isn't unique to "tree huggers".  I do not think the stick hits are going anywhere and if they do,  i don't find out what is in my dogs by entering a trial, i test the shit out of them in training.  I know what I have long before I step on any field.   What you do with your dogs doesn't matter to me, i train mine how I like them.  add the stick hits, take away the stick hits, give them a auto-blank gun that gives PSA members a hardon, it won't matter.  Once some popularity and money are involved, some will find a way to skirt the rules.  Others will be honest with what is in front of them and work, train, and breed accordingly, and number won't give a shit, they just want to do something with their dogs or have one they can talk about.

Why is Jantie opposing e-collars, Susie?

Good question .
E-collars are forbidden by law for years now in Germany and several other countries, but honestly, almost nobody cared.
Jantie is fighting against the corruption within SV for years now ( and mostly he is right ), but things don´t change.
The use of e-collars is easy to defeat ( law, not SV ), SV has to follow current law.
A lot of well known SV members still use them, so it´s not that difficult to get rid of them, if you really want to...
But maybe it´s more than simple and he only believes, that e-collars are cruel.
A littlebit of both, in my opinion.

I saw a post on Facebook yesterday that stated any type of protection training was considered animal cruelty, and that asking our dogs to bite something was cruel.  I can't find the post now, otherwise I'd link it.  There was a photo of a dog taking a sleeve bite that went along with the post.
