I just viewed 2 excellent KNPV performances from:

MB - Max van Douwe Van Groningen & GSD
Caro Van B'Voort.

Does anyone own or personally seen progeny from
Caro?  I would surmise that both of these will have
pre-potent progeny that would intensify sharpness,
civil and hardness, just to name a few desirable traits
for the workingline enthusiasts. To boot, Caro is VA!
How Lovely... .

The KNPV GSD's that I've seen on video are impressive.

As you can see, there is not very much interest in here about KNPV, most GSD fans care about IPO. It takes a very different "type" of dog to train and get a PH I title and the KNPV will not allow it to get out of Holland to get diluted like other sports have.
It is a mistake to think of KNPV as a sport just like it is a mistake to think that because a dog got his PH I or II, even with Met lof, that dog can produce well.

KNPV is a training ground and a certification trial for future police/military working dogs. All dogs in Holland, expect for strictly detection dogs, must hold a PH I in order to work as police or security dogs.
98% of all dogs titled in KNPV get sold as police dogs immediately after the cert trial and many end up in the USA. A lot of people tend to think of it as a "sport", but, the reality is that the police there have a huge saying in what and how the organization trains. They are sponsored by the Royal Crown as well.
KNPV has been around for over 100 years, its the second oldest dog training organization in the world I believe and because its focus is on producing and training police dogs, they look for more then dogs with prey and play drives that are very popular in other sports.
