Anyone else been reading the Peta story in NC where they are accused of killing dogs and cats instead of finding homes for them?
We just had several threads lately discussing this and now they are going to court...
I just the photos on that website from the "Death Van". I hope those people get raped in jail.
Does NC have the death penalty?
I totally agree with you. They get whats coming to them, has anyone seen the flyer they send to little kids? They show them pictures of skined foxes and rabbits and they say "your mommy is a murderer, she kills animals" and a cartoon drawing of a woman with a knife in her hand and blood everywhere? Its discusting, they show this to kids that are probably like 5-6 yrs old. What in the world is wrong with these people? Its beyond me, but Im glad something is finally being done with them. I hope these people get the death penalty, they deserve it.
Sorry I just had to get that off my mind.
Those people are deeply misguided, and many parents do not know to keep them away from their kids. The get their hooks in and start feeding propoganda and lies to our kids. They hope to bend the coming generations to their twisted rationale.
Just found this interesting as they profess to be the most enlightened of us all and yet they kill thousands of anamils and are basically no more than terrorists tactics. A bunch of liberal fanatics...
PeTA is to the animal world what Scientology is to religion. Look into both and you will find a lot of similarities. But there is one thing unique to PeTA. They seem to have a very fatalistic, doomsday, "final solution" viewpoint about pets. Pets are better off dead than with humans, to their stated opinion. They would rather see all domestic animals completely and forever extinct.
I admit that some people really suck and I'd certainly rather not sell to just anyone. Most of us won't, either! We try to be careful who we place dogs with, take dogs back when necessary and so forth, but there are no guarantees in life. You just do the best you can, right?
Everyone should not have a pet, agreed. But that does not mean that no one should have pets, working dogs, livestock, etc. and that we should all be eating tofu and carrots and wearing only hemp, vinyl and cotton.
Now, here is a sobering thought:
If it was YOUR dog or puppy that ended up in a trash bag in a dumpster, with a PeTA van driving away, how would YOU feel?
DDR good points, However ponder this as well...
If it was your dog tied to a fence by his neck a guy grabs his hind leg stretches him out then severs the femoral arterey and holds him while he screams in pain till he bleeds out, How would you feel about that ?
What's more Humane an injection that they feel the tinyest of prick, Or knowing that they've been deeply wounded and are slowly dying ?
Some of the work Peta does is good too.
I don't agree with many of they're views eighther, But I absolutely don't agree with damming all the work they do, Some of it does have value, The slaughter houses that don't follow proper protocal for stunning and cut out cattles throats and trachea's then turns them loose to stumble and fall on a floor while they bleed and suffolcate to death IS NOT RIGHT !! Peta has been part of the solution in some cases.
Foxes and Racoons skinned ALIVE that is OK ? Or cats put into a vat of boiling water, They are concious!!! that's ok to do too ?
Did those dogs they euthanized test posative for HeartWorm ? Then who's fault is that ? Is it Peta's fault ? or the Stupid owners that surrendered they're problem to someone else to take care of it ?
HeartWorm is extremely expensive to treat and most shelters on the East Coast have a Heartworm posative = automatic Euthanasia policy. Why should Peta be held to any different policy?
Just some things to consider before jumping off that fence to your ONE sided views. No I am not a "fan" of Peta, But I certainly am not a fan of ABUSE/NEGLECT/TORTURE.
I am also not a vegetarian, But am familiar with HUMANE slaughter Versus Cruel Torturing.
