The 'good' things they do seem to be a coverup or at least the beginnings that lead to the bad things they do. And the fact is, when they do good things, they don't exactly do it in the most appropriate manner. That's like saying some terrorist acts are okay because they get people out of slavery and whatnot.

PETA believes that it is justified to kill and maim human beings in pursuit of there goal, that EchoMuddle is TERRORISM. Are you condoning the actions of TERRORISTS?

by jdh on 27 January 2007 - 01:01

Echo, No person is completely without redeeming qualities, but it hardly makes them a good person. Look at the great villains throughout history. Every one of them from Hitler to Stalin deserved credit for some good deed in their lifetime, but we keep them in perspective. PETA is a terrorist organization driven by a deeply misguided set of principles. I do not trust anything that they do or say. These people are criminals! They are dangerous felons. If they come to your home I suggest you shoot first, ask later. Spook, you forgot trainers. I'm sure they are near the top of the list for termination.

It makes no sence, they claim they are for the are for the ethical treatment of animals but they they killed 75% of the animals they took in?? they dont want you to own ANY ANIMALS no pets, no service dogs for the blind, no nothing...they think animals are slaves to us... i could go on and on but all the points i am trying to make are in the video above.. im just glad something is finally beng done with them.. I like the concept of what PETA stands for, however PETA it's self are ignoring the concept and it is doing the complete opposite of what they claim to do, to save animals. My dogs are NOT slaves.. Hell they do not even live inside kennels for crying out loud! The only time my dogs are locked up is when Zambi goes into heat. Is that cruel? To save unwelcome lives from entering this harsh world? Most people wouldn't even allow their dogs to rest on the comfortable furniture but I do. My dogs are allow on my bed at any time(As I'm typing this post my gorgeous Zambi is having a wonderful time sleeping on my bed, shes in REM sleep), well almost.. I tend to want the bed all to myself when I'm sleeping. My 2 dogs are spoiled rotten! If aliens existed and decided to stop by my house.. they would think that my 2 dogs were the rulers. The only thing that I give PETA credit for is the exposure of animal cruelty.. Something that our local news/National news would never show since it's a violation of FCC.. I must admit that If I hadn't viewed the video of an animal being skinned alive for it's pelts and fur a long time ago.. I would of never viewed fur coats differently as I do now. I feel if people view theses graphical videos on the PETA site.. they would change their minds about buying that furcoat... or have anything to do with fur and the pelts of an animal.

Spook...very well said! Brittany: Your point is what makes this story so amazing to me. For years Peta presented the illusion on how enlightened and caring they are as human beings, far superior to the average person and self rightious, Yet while at the same time they may have done a few good things behind the scene they had their own skeletons. Basically these people are idiots and I am loving seeing everyone turn against them. FOxnews channel someone ran a ad detailing all the cruelety of Peta.

by EchoMeadows on 27 January 2007 - 04:01

Spook, Now who's using propoganda to make a point?? I support Terrorism, Are you completely MAD ??? Of course I don't, But I also don't support allowing big name companies to continue to mutilate animals while still concious simply because the USDA does not want to "make waves" for them. So Peta stepped in and exposed what was truly happening. Watch the video's yourself and tell me those cattle weren't terrified and in horrific pain, when the man with the knife cut out they're trachea's and severed they're jugular veins, YOU WATCH IT AND SEE IF YOU CAN HOLD DOWN DINNER, THEN YOU ACCUSE ME OF THAT BULLSH*T AGAIN !! IT TOOK ONE CALF SEVERAL MINUTES OF BLEEDING STUMBLING TRYING TO RUN AWAY BEFORE HE WAS FINALLY HOOKED BY A HIND LEG WITH A MEAT HANGING HOOK WHILE HE STILL REMAINED CONCIOUS !!! I know that noone here supports that type of torture, Peta stopped this, For that I am glad and WILL give credit where credit is due !! Flat Out, Regardless of what anyone says, Give credit where credit is due. Now does that negate something they did wrong, NO but I have yet to see where they have done anything wrong, How did Peta get these animals ?? Did they go out and steal them ?? NO these animals were surrendered to them, Possibly tested posative for god knows what and were APPROPRIATELY Euthanized, Not tortured, not skinned alive, not cut to bleed out, EUTHANIZED. Come on you guys.
