Sorry EduCainine; I did not mean any harm by asking this question! Did not expect this kind of response. Won't happen again! I contacted the Owner and Boban is already sold.

Wingertshaus, No problem and no apology needed. This is a touchy subject for many people, I know Julie of Vom Banach well and hate to see rumors like this get out of control. Yes he's sold to a good home. I wish him the best. JRT, The first litter by Boban in the US is now over a year old. Non of them are reportedly like Boban in the 'reported' aspects of aggressivness. We need to keep in mind the early imprinting and training this dog got. It certianly played a role in how he is or is not. And FYI-- Boban's first owner, who trained him is in the Netherlands, not Germany. -Jamie

Once again I will say we need these dogs to breed to. We just have to be very careful with the bitches we bring to them. Breeding is an art of putting together the bits and pieces, Some people don't get it and never will. Some people do and breed better dogs consistently. Then there is those of us who recognize that we should not breed and leave it at that. Bob

I am the owner/handler of one of the males out of the first Boban litter here, Arrow Vom Banach. I can assure you that in this young dog's case, there is absolutely no indication of handler hardness.

Wow,Boban is now in my neighborhood, yes I will breed my female to him some time this year, there is no dog like that on east coast,it depends what are you lookin for and to who you will sell your pups, plus there is so many weak and soft females up there and we breed them with wrong dogs, and dog like Boban would be a good choice for them, breeding is about balance and he can be perfect for same females. He is still very young dog and Im sure we will see a lot of his pups in the future,we all like those DDR and Czech(z PS)dogs, but we dont know that dogs like Boban were used to breed at that time,we dont do that anymore and our shepherds will become labs or golden retrivers

BSP Thanks for the info. I too am happy to see this guy go someplace where he will be used. I do not believe in throwing the baby out with the bath water.

"plus there is so many weak and soft females up there and we breed them with wrong dogs, and dog like Boban would be a good choice for them" weak and soft females should not be bred to any stud dog, let alone with the assumption that the stud dog, no matter how "strong and hard" will improve the female to the point of masking her temperament problems. It just won't happen and if the owner of the stud dog is smart, he won't be bred to such females. molly
