fleur, looks like your new litter may have HD problems,Grim was known for HD offsprings

Grim can go both ways and he offered far more than Boban has to offer in any breeding program! Never mind that in Boban's very first litter 3 out of 6 have HD!Not a very good track record is it? BTW: I advertised the litter for a friend of mine who is also on this board and their PC crashed. As far as I know the Grim line breeding is not that close to be too concerned about. At least he had his breed survey and he was on the WUSV.

I have no use for this dog or any dog like him. Given his pedigree his behavior does not surprize me. Why anyone would want to breed to him is beyond me. You can't "fix" weak temperament in one generation, so breeding to a dog like this with that end in mind is rdiculous. It would likely take several generations to realize any benefit, and it would be a bog gamble even then. Anyone seriously entertaining the concept of a handler agressive dog as a "good" dog is welcome to inspect the 200+ scars on my hands, legs, feet, and the places on my head where my scalp was literally torn off and EATEN by a nut-dog back in '97. I never liked me in short hair anyway. Good thing: its no longer an option. Shelley Strohl

Only one comment asked last April 2006 under his database picture asked about his personality. None of you so called experts who now seem to know the whole story said one word. Shame on you! And their is yet another dog that has been publicized bigtime since coming to this country who is now a grandfather at 4. I haven't seen hype like this since Babe Ruth was traded back to the Boston Braves in 1935. Absolutely ridiculous.

Reading this, brings back memories and confirms my stupidity at the time. I to have owned a Physco dog, you put into words what I could not even begin to explain, FERAL DOG. I also rationalized, made excuses, I thought he had a rough break in life. I have been around hard headed dogs, but you can not even begin to understand this unless you have been there. I also cried when I lost him, but I WILL NEVER GO DOWN THIS ROAD AGAIN.

Pike, Crok, Jalk(Jago's brother), should these dogs have been bred like they have? All have produced SOME progeny that were handler aggressive. And not just one case of it. I'm not knocking these dogs but I happen to know these dogs wer bred to quite a bit so i'm trying to apply the logic that i'm hearing and wonder why some of these top breeders in europe and the Us would want progeny out of them if they even have ONE case of handler aggression. Not being argumentative just trying to understand the logic for this trait of handler aggression.

Here is a link to the other discussion board about Boban. Most of the people on that board know of Boban first hand through his original owner. The second owner is July Marlow from vom Banach k9. http://www.ddrlegends.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1599

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've heard some Crok, maybe Mink progeny may be labelled handler-aggressive when all it is is redirection of prey drive? This seems to be more of the norm rather than super handler aggressive dogs.

I forgot to mention, I do have experience with Crok offspring and the ones I know handler aggression or not), never tried to tear any one apart like Boban has (check the link above). Handler aggression and being feral(Boban) like DDR-DSH mentioned are two different things.
