Susie, any of the VA or V dog's to your liking from this year's show?

Several, some within seize, well built ( although none of them perfect ), great expression, and then MY favorites with good temperament and good bitework, too. Even in the last ring (V/SG rating) some really impressive dogs.
But everybody is looking at the dogs from a different angle, for me the best looking dog doesn´t make sense without temperament.
I think ( again, that´s MY personal opinion ) a 3/3 dog doesn´t belong into the VA class( these dogs are trained on a daily basis, with the best helpers availabe, they have to be able to do this job ), neither does a dog without good offspring ( a high V rating is fine ).
But I don´t tend to "shop" from pictures and videos, in case I´m interested in a puppy I want to know the parents in real.

Blitzen that video you posted of Vegas was horribly out of context. I remember seeing the original video years ago and what you posted was not representative of the whole performance. Some idiot not knowing the difference posted a brief spot at the worst possible time, slowed it down and put it out of focus.I would guess the original video would be easier to find but there might be a copyright issue. I would recommend anyone who considers this as proof to how Vegas moves to see the original and then form an opinion. Just a cursory observation as I don't really study ASL movement but it appears that the American dogs  have a shoulder which lays back more horizontal with the back causing the upper arm to go to a more forward position in the chest. Since the shoulder lays back it gives the impression that it opens more fully and it might because it has to open more fully, it is also why they are able to keep their heads in a more upright manner and why they are stacked in a way in which their heads are pulled up and their necks are drawn back. The look of eagles should come from the eyes and not the neck. The German dog because it's shoulder is in a more correct  position uses it's elbow and shoulder in a more natural and powerful relationship.

Good to know, Markobytes. It explains how a dog with such incorrect movement could Va. Is there another video that shows him moving more correctly? Is the original video available?

If anyone is able to find the original video of Vegas, please post it here. Thanks!

I think the video is from the 2009 Siegershow during the individual stand for exam. The video was produced by REIVISION and sold so it should be copyrighted.

I looked at the Vegas clip again and, honestly, it looks to me like it hasn't been been cut or altered in any way  and was meant to represent correct movement - shrug?

2X VA1 Vegas du Haut Mansard (Vegas Video? This one ?)
All the VAs should have a nice Gaiting Video Like that. (Hip Hip, Chin Chin, The Beat)

I actually like the video Music & Edit. Smooth, with no jumpy camera. Gaiting starts at 1:36
I think he looks good, but his "Foot Timing" is messed up (Like Xeph Said)  in that first part... Love the Music!
