Uh oh, this is going to get interesting. Make mine a double.

Reggie, are you coming down to our show in December?

by bzcz on 02 October 2014 - 00:10

LOL.  You'll never know (cause you'll never be out there competing) but we had a hell of a good time all over the US and Canada.

And just to be polite, what's your dog accomplished?

Blitzen I have been thinking about it.  Won't be able to bring a dog.  I am hoping she will have pups on the ground.

Sigh...I can't believe I'm saying this, but the son of a world WUSV CH sounds like a pretty well bred dog to me, dawg. Maybe as well bred as one sired by a Va - depending on who you're talking to I guess.

Sorry you won't make it, but puppies are far more important than a show. Maybe next year we will get back to annual shows AND a trial.  I liked it better when we held both. Good luck with the litter. If  you can make it as a spectator, please try. I am getting some hints that we may have some well known dogs in the working class. I'm getting excited!!

Clearly you don't need help.  Go find the best stud dog on your own.

BTW, my bitch was almost bred to Chacco.  An AmLines bitch

Being as I own a WGSL stud, I AM concerned about linebreeding since it is rare for it not to happen. I look at every female's pedigree before I decide to allow a breeding.  It doesn't have to be my favorite pedigree/breeding because I am very picky, but I'm not going to do a breeding where I just know it's a bad match.

As far as talking the talk and walking the walk, my stud dog has over 25 titles, that is above and beyond SchH, V rating, and KKL1 which are kind of a dime a dozen if you're talking WGSL stud dogs.  I pass on breedings because he is out *competing* every month.  My priority is showcasing my dog, not getting dozens of breedings (or dozens of stud fees?).

OP, don't let these people get you down. They don't know how to breed a good dog. Your choice is easy. Two dogs... Flip of a coin. Or just go with the cheaper stud fee. You can probably use the other dog against each other to lower the stud fee. Just keep threatening to go with the other dog. I've done this numerous times at car dealers.

better yet, start some unsubstantiated rumours re health concerns about the stud you like and post them on all the forums, will reduce the values of the stud fee and by the time your puppies are ready to sell the stud owner would have defended his dog vehemently and publicly and restored the dogs good name and credentials thus bringing much public attention to the dog which will in turn increase the value of the progeny right at about the time they start getting expensive to feed, ie 5 weeks, so you win at both ends, decreased stud fee and increased puupy fee at point of sale.

i should be AKC, SV dual prez.
