cool will look forward to it;

this might help

height at wither 28 inches - just measured it then.

weight around 50kg not sure whaat that is in pounds.

kinda narrow looking but a bull neck.

A sable GSD male of very good type, more than medium sized, strong bones, good proportions with a bit long back, good head and neck, beautiful topline, high withers, a bit long loin, very good croup, both the length and lay, good tailset and beautiful tail of correct length. Very good rear angulation, strong hocks and good feet, beautiful underline, good front angulation, front upper arm needs more length but excellent shoulder blade lay, strong pasterns, in pictures stands east west, you can verify that on site as when a picture is taken at the moment a dog is about to move his front legs may not appear straight.

I personally would like a bigger head, but that is a personal preference.

hahaha, I missed your post about the 28 inch, that makes him  too large a boy, 50 kg makes him too heavy.

Wait a second he doesn't look 71 cms in height and 50 kilos in weight, are you sure about those figures ?

by vk4gsd on 13 October 2014 - 09:10

thanks agree with the back too long, i think that is the source of difficulty in collecting the gait initially, on the upside it allows good ground cover and excellent top speed.

you rock, thanks.

just triple checked measurements, all good. if weight goes much below 48kg i get reported for abuse.

i wish you could see him move, you would have to search hard to get a gsd in that size range that can move as good, clacks teeth and everything.

double dose of gento von hauss larwin who produces some small dogs, other side is obscure dogs nobody ever heard of but on that side is some regional level ipo champ from the states who produced horses, whole litter was big dogs;

old clip, i stopped making vids, but you will see a bit of his movement on obstacles;

Lovely, I like his spirit and his conformation a lot. I can see he is indeed a big boy but pardone me I think measurement of his height is incorrect, I don't see him 71 cms/28 inch in height Sad Smile

will make a vid some time of a 1 metre stick close up next to a tape measure and while still in vid (no disappearing) I will place against dog's wither.

thanks for critique and comments, I really value your words.

by Ibrahim on 13 October 2014 - 10:10

Please don't take the trouble of doing a video, it will be enough you recheck and confirm exact measurement in a text post Teeth Smile

He is a beautiful dog

Has he stopped growing ?  Can't recall what age you said he was, and c.b.a'd to trawel back thru'

history of posts.   Looking at him on that vid,  I too would doubt he's at 50 kilos;  he may have lots

of muscle, but he is too fit to be overweight. (Although obviously tall dogs get a little heavier !  Weight is a

strangely variable thing though,   look at that recent thred on it.)     It is possible he is 71 cm @ the wither

though;  dunno how tall you are Pete, but I'm tallish for a female at 5'9"  and a dog I used to have, who

was 70 cm, was just a nice comfy height to hold him by the collar without bending at all.   Whereas I do

stoop a little to walk Taz by his collar (he's  66.5).

For the weight, I'd check the next time he's at the Vets office;  you can't beat a proper scales !

Nothing you posted on this thred, nor as far as I remember at previous times, really shows clearly

what you are saying about his gait  -  but if it is what I think you are getting at, in the Show ring we call

it  "AMBLING".   No its not ideal, but as long as it does not hinder him running through the Bush

or herding cows, its no biggie.
